listed as clockwise but mine surprisingly is actually counterclockwise which is much more desirable. almost did not buy. gas tank bent and 1 of 2 oil caps damaged. charged tax on shipping which added another 5 bucks but being counterclockwise was worth enough to me to as a plus than the damage was a negative so l still gave it 5 stars anyway and would buy again.

Do not buy this! Fresh out of the box this motor has been nearly impossible to start. Once started, it ran good but takes 10 minutes to get started again. Multiple bolts stripped out from the factory. The Starter broke after 2 uses.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS

When it got delivered to our house the box was beat up and when we opened it the air cleaner was busted up and the muffler is bent….so now we are going to have to buy another muffler and we are going to have to buy another air cleaner before we are able to use it….
