These V-Tips worked well to replace some that had split on my well-used metal folding chairs. They fit very tightly on the 7/8" legs, so I used a nylon mallet to carefully drive them on.

They worked great but were expensive for the price we paid for a few. We need to purchase more but will have to plan finances accordingly for our church.

We had to warm the caps slightly because the caps are round and the chair legs we have are more of an oval shape. We were able to make them fit. The color is not an exact match. They are fine.

Caps are needed to replace old caps. It's cheaper than buying new chairs.

Helps my many folding metal chairs delay metal fatigue. The dry climate and high heat where I live causes parts like this to fail on one side that hastens the failure of the other side and then other parts of the chair. Went on snug and color matched well.

The description claims these are 7/8 inch ID, yet the title says 7/8 OD. I'm using these to replace the caps on folding chairs with 7/8 inch OD tubing (3/4 ID) and these do not slip onto the tubing, yet the outside diameter of the caps in certainly not 7/8 inch, either. I put them aside for now, but I haven't found an alternative yet, so I'll likely need to bore out (sanding, not drilling) the inside of the caps very slightly to make them fit.
