I recently purchased the #7 x 2-3/8" Wood Screws by SG TZH for a DIY project, and overall, they performed well. Here's a detailed breakdown of my experience:Design and Build Quality:The screws come with a black phosphate coating that gives them a sleek appearance and helps prevent rust. The flat truss head design provides a clean finish when installed. The screws are made of stainless steel, which adds to their durability and strength.Performance:These screws are self-tapping, which made the installation process much easier and faster. They bit into the wood effortlessly and held strong. I used them for both drywall and wood applications, and they performed admirably in both cases. The screws provided a secure hold, and I didn't experience any stripping or snapping during use.Coating:One downside I noticed is that the black phosphate coating tends to wear off during installation, especially if you need to make adjustments or remove and reinsert the screws. While this doesn't affect the overall performance, it does detract from the aesthetic appeal and potentially the corrosion resistance over time.Quantity and Value:The pack of 50 screws is reasonably priced, offering good value for the quantity and quality. They are a cost-effective solution for various DIY and construction projects, providing reliable performance without breaking the bank.Final Thoughts:Overall, the #7 x 2-3/8" Wood Screws by SG TZH are a solid choice for both wood and drywall applications. The self-tapping feature and stainless steel construction are major pluses, though the black phosphate coating could be more durable. If you handle them carefully and don't mind a bit of coating wear, these screws will serve you well.

Love these screws. Needed them to securedouble layered 3/4" plywood work bench top. I used a 1/4" pilot hole and these screws securely fastened the two pieces. Absolutely no stripping. Will be buying other sizes. Got here next day no problems. I have not tried applications in solid or hard wood

Just what I needed to match the hinge on furniture I’m building. Feel sturdy.Great price for plenty of screws. The “big stores” in town didn’t have black.

The screws worked as designed, the metal was not brittle - not a single screw snapped. The #2 Phillips heads did not round off, even when I I used a lot of force to flush the heads to the top of the cabinet.

Was using these to attach adjustable metal stair baluster to existing railing and bottom plate. I'm not sure the type of wood I was screwing these into but the heads broke off of more that I'd like. Its very inconvenient because if that's the spot you need for level, now what? Next important project, I'll use drywall screws.

The pictures don't match what I received. They are the right size, but the threading is much different. As others have also mentioned, they are not stainless steel.

C'était exactement ce que j'avais de besoin. Et cette taille (5/8) en noir, est très difficile à trouver en Quincailleries.

Kind of major wording mistake. These stick to magnet and NOT stainless steel screws. They are average drywall screws over priced for cute little plastic case. Also NOT truss screw heads. They are average bugle head screws. Shoud I just pay $3-6 more for other brands couple hundred more? Good question. Clean oil free screws and once in a blue moon necessity.
