I used these yesterday on our bathtub. I am refinishing it with Ekopel. It is an old tub, house was built in 1903, don't think the tub is that old. But it is a nice big tub, cast iron and we wanted to keep it. These sanding discs made getting rid of rust and worn our finish a snap. Still have work to do, but trust I will be done by early next week. Highly recommended!

I tried using this on a butcher block. After five minutes the pad cracked and then the part where the shank screws in broke loose and the whole thing started to spin freely, and when I tried to sand with it, the pad would quit spinning. Now, I have a pile of sanding discs and no pad to attach them to. Don't buy this kit.

It’s $15 worth of sandpaper. Don’t use a drill to sand. It’s doesn’t work well and I found out the hard way. On a positive note, you get a ton of sandpaper, which is good because it’s low quality sandpaper. Lesson learned.

I needed a tool to do a light sanding of my large backyard arbor, as part of a project to finish the redwood with tung oil. I started by hand but realized the job would go quicker with a little bit of machine assist. Chose this for the larger 5” diameter.It came with two bits, one of which fit my drill. I gave it a whirl and there was a bit of a learning curve but now I can get a fairly even light sand which I finish with some quick swipes by hand. What worked for me was using the wheel at an angle and moving right to left. Using it head on makes it hard to control. I am using this on a small not very powerful cordless drill and it works fine. No need to break out the more powerful corded drill.It comes with a really good stock of sandpaper of various coarseness. I am using a coarse 80 by hand but fine 120 with the tool.I am happy with the product.
