Didn't work on my 2003 suburban even though the part number crossed to my original part. Not sure if this was miss application or defective but would just blow the main blower fuse when plugged in, I got an updated part from the dealer

Install was pretty straightforward and device worked perfect.....until 3 weeks past the 12 month warranty. No customer support from Amazon nor ACDelco despite multiple calls and emails!!!

Call it a HVAC Control Module or Blower Motor Resistor, for an '02 Avalanche with electronic climate control, it's the same thing. I had recently replaced the blower motor with an OEM part, so I was fairly certain that it wasn't a motor failure when the blower suddenly worked only intermittently. This is a DIY fix that will save you hundreds vs having a dealership repair it. There are lots of videos on the repair. Watch them.HINT: Check the ACDelco Parts website for the OEM part number if you're uncertain as to what "resistor" is needed.Difficulty: Easy, though you have to be a bit of a contortionist to see the screws that need to be removed which are located under the dash/glove box. Not so easy for older folks. I found that it helped to lay an old sheet down to protect against dirt and grease, and then to lay on the floor mat with my legs stretched out the door.Time: 15 - 20 min.Tools Needed: 7mm socket, 7/32 in socket, ratchet, zip tie and snips. You may find that a flat screwdriver helps to remove the wiring plugs if you have difficulty pressing the wiring plug tabs with your fingers. Most videos don't show that the resistor pig tail is attached to a wiring harness with a zip tie. You have to snip this tie to remove the old resistor. Be careful not to snip any wires. Installing a new zip tie helps to keep the wiring from dangling in the foot well. You also don't have to remove all three screws that secure the kick cover. Take out the end and center screws and then pull down on the cover.HINT: If your vehicle has them, and prior to installing the module, purchase cabin air filters ('02 Avalanche takes 2) and replace them while you have the cover removed. They're not that expensive. Pay attention to the air flow of the filters. If the old ones aren't clearly marked, you can tell the direction of flow simply by looking at which side of the old filter has all the debris. Your truck will smell fresher and your blower won't have to work as hard.Great, ACDelco OEM part. Made in China. I'd prefer that it was made in the USA.

Direct replacement at a good price. Fixes a common problem on GM Compurized Climate Control systems. If the fan runs all the time or runs when the ignition switch is off this unit will fix it. Also not hard to install after a diagnosis is made. I took the old one out and it had shorted out because of water. I think it took a long time for enough water to accumulate to get to the circuit board. No water was there when the new one was installed. Then checked all areas that I thought water might get in. So far so good.

After the ac/heater would no longer turn on, we determined the module was bad and a fuse. Easy to replace and this worked perfect. Cost was much cheaper than my local store.

This an exact replacement and it works just like it should. It was a simple plug in and play installation. The hardest part is to diagnose the problem and then to select the proper part. I bought one from a different Amazon vendor that claimed to fit but was not even close and I now have one that will collect dust and I can not return. The Chevy dealer would have charged well over $200 for this simple fix. It took about 15 minutes to install and required only two wrenches.

Purchased unit thinking it would work right off, however, installed part in vehicle and AC still didn't work. remove part had heard rattling inside. After taking apart module I discovered a resistor not soldered into the control board. I soldered resistor in proper spot and now AC works fine. The quality control on this items was lacking in my opinion.
