This part is numbered correctly. You just have to be careful to place the wires correctly. Fixed my 2008 Impala and saved me a lot of money doing it myself. . Great value and good quality part.

I wired this plug up to plug in to my shift solenoid. After soldering and heat shrink everything worked as it should. Would recommend.

The extra long wires were nice to give extra play for the wires. Easy to install .

The product was a perfect fit. Easy removal of the centre console. Remove 6 screws - 2 under the plastic wood like trim that covers the shift lever and 4 in the base of the storage compartment. Lift up and disconnect the 2 electrical adapters for the 12V lighter and the USB and the whole console lifts out with the shift lever in neutral. Replacement of the this part solved my shifting/ lock problem that was getting worse because of 2 loose wires in the old adapter.

This fit perfectly. You see, Chev Impala had a problem with the wires to the shifter button (which control a solenoid to pull a lock pin from the shifter) breaking. The reason is that this particular set of wires moves every time you shift. This PT3923 is the correct replacement, and I suggest "curling the wires" before installing. That is wind them individually tightly around a screwdriver shank. Then carefully match the wires to the existing ones one by one, as you remove the old ones. Get the harness connected as far back as you can, because these wires are better quality than the originals. I soldered and shrink wrapped mine, and they work extremely well. The curls in each wire are to give flexibility, since this whole set of wires moves the entire travel of the shifter every time you put it into and subsequently out of gear. All the best;

working good so far, the day it showed up in the mail the car got full stuck in park and had to use the release switch under the console. was good timing, everything seems fine only downfall is all these wires being grey and not colored like the factory part, but if you make a quick simple diagram first for your self you wont have any issues its very basic wiring,

This saved ne about 200.00 plus. When my gear shift would not shift out of park or for those who can't get their key out of the ignition on a 2008 chevy Impala, this replaced the harness that connects to the shifter. About 30 minute job. Many you tube videos on this. Happy camper, just remove old harness, make sure colored wires from old harness are connected to new harness properly, heat sink connectors and plug in. Original wire on mine just came loose and I had to use mechanical release button to shift out of park, then I had to rig plug until my new harness arrived. Can't see how to connect a photo or would have.
