Solid. Deep base. These are passive so require an active amp to drive. It will take what your amp can drive for reasonable volumes. If you want to tear the house down, these won’t suffice.

In my opinion, a sound system is one of those things in life that you don't go cheap on. I'm not saying you have to go all out and spend a million bucks on it, but if you're taking the time to put an in-wall system in, you want to do it right the first time.I wanted to add some bass to our in-wall system. This was not the speaker. It produced the midrange frequencies, but nowhere near low enough for bass. I am returning these and the search for a good in-wall bass continues.

excellent speakers, they pack a punch and dont be scared ro give them power the can take it, I have two in my wall and I dropped in a 2x4 to create a tighter box and stuck some of that padding you use in car audio and these things push, product as deceibed. Would definitely buy from seller again.

Great price for good sounding speakers. Loaded 4 into a 2200 sq ft room running off a 2k Watt amp that pushes these to the limit and as long as they aren't exceeded, these will give a long time of quality listening. Using ceiling backer or boxing these in provides a better bass sound quality as well.

Works. Doesn't sound GREAT but it's definitely nice for concealing. You can sort of see the yellow through the grille so you may want to apply a layer of cloth in front of the unit to hide the color. Rattles the hell out of my wall. I've even added drywall screws to the wall and puttied/textured/painted back over them and it's still rattling. Make sure you have plenty blocking in your wall ALL THE WAY around this to ensure no rattling. This was in 5/8" gyp board as well.

Amazon was out of the new speakers so I purchased a damaged at a great price. There was a small scratch on the front grill which was easily fixed with a little paint. The speaker works perfectly and I power it with my 110 watt Yamaha receiver with no problems. I would highly recommend this speaker to those who are set up with in wall speaker systems. I replaced my Sony stand alone subwoofer and am very pleased with the results. Looks great too.

This one is not really good. I can't increase the volume because the woofer makes hitting and shaky noise back and forth except original audio sound. Even, when I received it, I found the woofer was separated from the frame with screws. I don't believe such good reviewers exist.

Sound great, rattle the wall, but I will not be listening at full impact. These will rattle your walls big time! I'd advise building a box or adding structural support around these if you have the room behind your install space. THESE WILL HANDLE some POWER! Readup on how subs work (open air, ported, sealed) 2xSpeakers using with a dayton audio plate amp from parts express. Mounted in my wall NOT the Ceiling. You may want to get some BLACK audio fabric to put behind the screens. Since this has a white surround and yellow/black speaker it shows through the white screen even with the white foam insert provided. These definitely add the subtle bass track of shows, movies, and film. Much better than trying to hide a sub "cube" somewhere in your theatre room. BUT! if you are an audiophile these will not be the ones for you.
