This is a great filter and I have used it for about 10 years on my lawn irrigation system pumping from a lake. The main drawback is the connections to the line are not treaded, but must be cemented. I recently broke the pvc pipe connecting to the filter unit and had to replace it. I do a lot of shopping at Amazon and usually get good prices, but the price they have for this item is crazy high. I got a replacement unit at HomeDepot for a third of their price. Sorry Amazon.
