Great for getting a tap started. Reasonably well made

I took them apart to clean, and they seem very well machined.

I never had any of these before this is first purchase for me. But I like the fact that I can tap the whole straight and be able to have the one end of the ratcheting tap assembly in my chuck to hold things in proper positionWorks as expected, would recommend.

This tap wrench is heavy and well-built, with proper v-jaws and a wide adjustment range as advertised.

Came a little oily, but that's a good thing for machine tools I guess. Gripped my M2.5 tap perfectly and kept it concentric to my drill press axis, did 5/5 perfectly tapped holes into Copper and Nickel. Remember to back off every few turns to help break the chips

Complicates work flow. Only thing good is you know you’ll be straight in your work and it frees up a hand..

It looks well built, but the chuck that holds the tap was really crooked. When installed in the spindle, the tap had about .25" run out. While everything looks machine cut, the chuck fingers was cut with a hand file. So each one was different and didn't line up which made the tap become crooked. I'm gonna keep it and try to fix it correctly to use on the mill, but if not, i'll use it manually because i needed one anyhow.

Works great would recommend a flat edge on the spindle post so when you tighten the small lock screw down it will not twist.
