BACKGROUND:My wife's car is quiet enough that it actually surprises people sometimes when she is backing out of a parking spot. They don't pay attention to the car's brake or reverse lights apparently. So, when Vine suggested this, I thought that I might try it on her car. It might be a bit loud for my intended use, but I suspect that closing off some of the slots in the speaker grill will muffle the sound a bit.INITIAL OBSERVATIONS:It appears to be solid and well-built. The backplate plastic appears to be about 3/16" thick in it's thickest places (around the edges). Attaching it to a small "12V" LiFePo4 battery pack that I had also been reviewing, the sound that it produced was definitely louder than I wanted to experience *inside* my house (where I was testing it).The box says "350-530 Hz".COMPLAINTS / ISSUES:Although the title of the ad and a sticker on the box says "110±3db", the actual text printed on the box says "102±3db", the sticker on the speaker itself says "107±3db", and other text in the ad says "105 db". If you look up how the db scale works for sound and how the human ear interprets sound, that's quite the variation. So, WHICH IS IT?Since I don't foresee myself reviewing a bunch of these devices, I will not be buying a sound meter to verify their claims.IMPRESSIONS:The unit is definitely loud enough for it's intended purpose (depending upon mounting location, I suspect) and for my use, I'll most likely need to be muffling it a bit. I just want something that says, "excuse me, I'm going to back up" instead of screaming, "HEY IDIOT! GET OUT OF MY WAY! I'M BACKING UP!".Using an online tone generator to produce tones from 350 to 530 Hz, I'm not 100% certain that the tones from this device are within that range, but a proper sound frequency analyzer, I cannot be certain. Whatever the actual frequency tough, it is loud enough to get your attention when unobstructed.CONCLUSION:Depending upon your mounting location, this could be perfectly acceptable for your use. It will definitely get people's attention. Some worksites require while noise generators instead, so that is something that you should consider. For *my* use, it is louder than I need and I will be muffling it a bit. That is an easy enough task and I expected this when I agreed to review it anyway. All in all, I think it is worth a 3.5-star rating (i.e. "slightly above average"). I will revisit this review and update it in the future if I have any problems with the longevity of the product.STAR RATING SCALE:1 -- Poor product; Waste of money at ANY price; Blatant lies in the original listing.2 -- Below average product; Something about it is a bit lacking; It could be conflicted specifications or errors in the original listing or that it was arrived with damage that was unlikely to have occurred during shipping and should have been caught in either the manufacturer's or seller's quality control.3 -- Average product; Meets expectations, perfectly serviceable, but does not do anything that sets it apart from similar products; Does not have some features that makes me say, "Wow, that's a neat feature".4 -- Above average product; Something about it sets it a bit above similar products on the market.5 -- Excellent product (or perhaps customer service); There is NO room for improvement whatsoever; NOTHING is perfect, so this rating *should* be EXTREMELY difficult to achieve.Ordered:2024-03-21Received:2024-03-24Reviewed:2024-03-24AmazonID:B0CHF8SWHZ

Super easy to mount with 4 mounting holes with 2 on the back and 2 on the top. Super easy to wire with the 2 post and included hardware. It is pretty loud and will definitely get the attention of anyone in harms way. Hook up to your reverse lights or a switch. Even mount on a truck, RV, Camper, or trailer

Super easy to hook up and produces a very loud beep you can hear for a distance. Appears to be completely weatherproof as well.
