Spring loaded and no nonsense. Well constructed and comes with a testable small piece of glass (tip: keep it in the baggie to test the spring action). Haven't had to use yet - thankfully - but love the fact this is all metal construction and is spring loaded which could be a life saver in a under water scenario or other situation where the more "hammer" type window breakers might not be as able to use. 10/10 recommend having this in any glove compartment or emergency kit, etc.

Every car should have this device in case you are trapped in your car. This item is unbreakable and looks great as well as it functions to break glass windows or windshield for extracting yourself from a car.

Tested it out at a scrapyard. The window exploded into thousands of small pieces. Works great, but eye protection is a MUST. The glass literally explodes everywhere.

It was easy to use and works. My daughter nearly drowned in her car while being swept away in a flood. She had the "wherewithal" to unbuckle her seatbelt and roll down the window before the electronics in her car went out. She is young and fit and strong. If a child had been in the back, well....you get the picture. I never thought this would happen to someone so close. It terrified me.Getting one for everyone in my family. I hope none of us ever have to use it.

Easy to use tool that will definitely break the glass. Simply press it against the glass and the spring loaded pin will release. Every vehicle needs one of these in the console.
