Needed to connect sling to crossbow picatinny rail. I placed a small piece of soft springy material under the swivel connection, otherwise the connection tends to descend into the rail mount and flop around somewhat. Also makes it easier to install the sling connection through the mount hole.Very sturdy piece- worked out very well.

Works great. Just make sure you don't go nuts tightening it as the bolt is steel and the threads are aluminum. That's a very bad combination for excess torque. Add some blue Loctite and snug it down tightly but resist that little voice that says to you, "Just a LITTLE bit more..." and you'll be just fine.

Used this to move the sling swivel stud further forward than the fixed stud on an R500 crossbow using the lower picatinny rail for a more comfortable carry. This is a rock solid swivel attachment. The pictures on Amazon made it look short and stubby; however, it is a standard length swivel stud that will work with and quick detach sling swivel. The stud does rotate 360 degrees. It's not fixed. I strongly recommend this product for anyone needing a sling stud on a picatinny rail.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this sling mount has a few flaws that should be highlighted. The body is aluminum, and the steel screw threads into the body. You must be careful to not over tighten the screw and strip the threads - use the included hex wrench. The profile is quite tall, and the body quite thick to ensure the cast aluminum is strong enough. I wish it was made of steel, as it could've have been much smaller, thinner and more compact. The actual sling stud is made from machined steel, but it is free floating and completely rotates. The stud can withdraw into the mount. This makes it difficult to attach a swivel if you are not actually looking at the stud, and specifically orienting it a specific way. The Allen Rail Mount Sling has served its purpose for me, but I wish I had spent more time looking for something better.

I had a swivel stud on my bolt action rifle and put a swivel stud to picatinny adapter so i could use my bipod but that took away my sling point so i purchased this. needed a small one to coexist with the bipod on a small adapter this fit well and holds my sling well.
