I chose this guitar kit because I am learning the guitar, and my husband thought we should be ready to fix anything that goes wrong.I like that this kit comes with a string cleaner because the strings are the most used part of the guitar. Everybody has natural oil and moisture inside their hands. This buildup weighs the strings down over time, which affects the sound quality and longevity of the strings. This kit included various tools, which I thought would be useful because we have several guitars, and they’re not built the same. This kit includes an 8” hex wrench, three smaller-sized hex wrenches, a multifunctional guitar wrench, and a guitar string changer.Well, something needed to be fixed on one of our guitars, and I thought it was amazing that I chose a beneficial product at the perfect time.My husband needed to lift a bridge on a guitar, and none of the tools were useful for that. However, that’s just one kind of problem, and these tools will come in handy for other areas of the guitar. They are definitely perfect for a beginner’s guitar. For everything included in this guitar toolkit, the price is generously affordable.

This is a nice set of guitar tools for the working guitarist, all organized in a small zipper case. It includes a combination string winder and peg remover, various Allen wrenches for neck adjustments and other jobs, a bottle of guitar cleaner, a neck scrubber and string cleaner, a microfiber cloth for cleaning, and more. While the items are not top of the line, they are made well enough to be useful. I like this for myself especially because of the case, which keeps everything organized in one place. It would also make a nice gift for any guitarist.

I am attempting to temper my review based on the price. If you dont own any tools, the convenience of the kit may be handy. But the quality of the tools are average at bestBall-end allens... i do appreciate that ball-ends are included but from my experience, the ball end of an allen is usually the failure point of the tool. Personally I'd prefer to spend a few extra bucks for a decent quality assortment of allens. The string cleaner... not saying they're not needed but it is a new thing for me. Jury is still out on that one. The string winder/clipper/pin removal tool... it works (didn't test the pin removal partner though). That said, the winder was a bit awkward to use and I'd much rather use diagonal cutters over the cutter in the kit. I'm not sure what the double ended h looking tool is for so no comment there. The cleaner... I dint know what's in it. I'm not even willing to use it on a beater Rogue bass I have. And the case itself.... i originally thought it was the best part, but the elastic that hold the cleaner in place is already loose after virtually zero use.Overall, this is great for the convenience of having everything together in one spotn but all this did was prompt me to look at higher quality options to replace items in the kit.

Nice portable kit that comes with a small assortment of wrenches, pin puller, string winder, string cleaner, a microfiber cloth and instrument polish. I'm not sure about the quality of the polish but all the other tools will be very handy to have for basic upkeep and maintenance. It is all contained in a zippered pouch so you can keep it together. You can never have enough guitar maintenance tools!

The questions with any kit are: is the cost of the kit lower than just buying the items? And: are the items useful and a usable quality? Let’s go over the items in this kit:Guitar cleaner: nowhere in the microscopic print on the bottle does it tell you the ingredients. Are you willing to use it on your guitars if you don’t know what’s in it?Felt pads and holder: I assume these are to be moistened with the mystery liquid and rubbed on the guitar. Hard to know, since no directions of any kind are included.Allen wrenches: most of us own a quality set of these. The possible advantage of the included ones is the ball head that allows them to be used at an angle, which is sometimes necessary with truss rods. However, ball heads can break off in the truss fitting, which requires major surgery. Do you trust generic wrenches for this task?Socket wrench/phillips: the only possible advantage over higher quality tools one already owns is being at hand.Mystery tool: I’ve done a lot of guitar work, but I have no idea what this H-shaped piece of metal is for. No directions, for this or anything else…Cleaning cloth: not my favorite fabric, but it works.Multi-tool: yes, the clipper will clip a guitar string, as will a dozen other tools I own, so being at hand is the advantage. The speed-winder is faster than turning knobs by hand; but it’s a bit too short, and bangs into the other knobs on many tuning heads. The pin puller is plastic, so it has to be thick. Which means it won’t fit under pins if they are tight or in a recessed opening.Case: nice enough… except that the zipper is hard to get going once it’s been opened enough to lay the kit flat.So I’d say this kit strikes out on all counts. Spend your money on one quality tool instead, and work from there.

It is as described, but is very low quality. The string cutter barely functions, the peg winder technically works but is made of really lousy plastic, and doesn't fit the tuner peg well so it slips off constantly. The metal tools are the best part of the kit and they are all of low quality too, but functional. The string wiper is the coolest part of the kit and since you cant replace the pads for it it is as disposable as the rest of the kit. I would save your money up for a better set. This would do in a pinch but I can't recommend it.
