I’m 5’11 and 140 lbs, and i got a medium. It fits pretty good, does ride up the back a lil but i always wear hoodies, so i dont think anyone will see my crack anytime while riding.

Some folks say it runs small, some folks say it runs big. I usually wear an XL when it comes to jackets, after reading most of the reviews, I decided to go with the XXL. The fit is fine, it's a bit bulky in some areas and the sleeves are longer than I would like but its a decent fit, could be better though. I do have to adjust the elbow pads each time I put the jacket on since they sit around my forearms but they seem to stay in place while I'm riding.The looser fit is more noticeable in the summer when I'm usually only wearing t-shirt under the jacket, but its been a nicer, more snug fit in the colder months when I'm wearing a hoodie or sweater underneath.Luckily I haven't had a need for the protective padding yet but I'm confident in it's ability to provide some protection in an unfortunate situation. Overall I would recommend this jacket, just maybe try one on first to save on some shipping and return costs!

Like others have said, GO 2 SIZES UP. This is tailored toward European standards. I wear a L normally and the XL I purchased rides up on the bottom front/ back.

Sorry Alpinestars, your quality has dropped over recent years. First, the accent color is not red; it’s orange. Second, the fitment is not tapered enough, and the arms have no snaps, straps make it fit better. I’ve been riding for 39 years and have never owned a textile jacket. The armor feels non-existent, and even with my Alpinestars back protector inserted, I still felt like I was wearing a light winter jacket. Absolutely no confidence in safety wearing this jacket. The elbow should have plastic guards like the shoulder do, and the armor should be level 2. People that purchased this jacket and praise it for comfort, coolness and fitment. Yes, it looks nice, but it will not protect you like leather will. Back in the box it goes and back to Amazon. I’m thinking most people that purchased this jacket have never crashed, never done track days, and have no clue as to what is considered safety gear. For some reason Alpinestars is straying away from safety, and going for looks/comfort. So sad—if you want to be safe and fight the heat, then purchase a perforated leather jacket. Sooooooooooo disappointing.

Great protection, very good ventilation for warm/hot weather riding. The weight made me nervous when I unpacked it, but has great breathability while riding.

One of the best mesh/textile jackets available. Has flexible and thin shoulder and elbow protectors. Thus avoiding the bulk. Pockets for chest and back protectors are provided. Decent air circulation to cool you. Little resistance to light showers. But otherwise good looking and a comfortable jacket.

This jacket is amazing for summer riding. Even when the temp starts creeping past 90 degrees, it still doesn't seem like too much as long as you're still moving.
