My color laser was leaving bumps and smudges on anything I printed. Took it apart and noticed the upper fuse roller had a large crack. Ordered this replacement and printer back to 100%. Easy fix. Much easier than purchasing a new unit. Was easy to replace, just make sure you let the printer cool down before replacing.

OEM part claim still having 70% life left, but it is totally broken. This replacement part fits very well.To replace this fuser roller need a few tricky steps, best to check online for videos.

This roller along with an online video helped us dismantle, replace and PUT BACK TOGETHER our Brother color printer. Yes, not one spare screw was left behind. Sometimes we don't thank the parts people for giving us this option. THANKS for providing this and saving us a hundred dollars or more!

When first installed I received the typical msg of "COOLING DOWN" after each page. But after some research discovered that if the thermistor is simply screwed down a bit more to put it closer to the hot roller it doesn't heat the roller as much, thus the sensor that is the other pair of wires on the right side won't signal over temp. The thermistor is under the same cover as the thermal fuse. The thermistor is on a lite pair of wires on top of a flat metal leaf spring, simply tighten the single screw that passes through the thermistor body housing and the leaf spring. How much is kind of a trial and error, too much the toner won't adhere and will smug, not enough and the msg won't go away. The other device under this plastic cover is an inline thermal fuse which connects to the high voltage source with heavy wires; leave this alone, it'll protect you from burning up your printer. So it works, just be patient; much more economical than a new fuser unit or printer.
