I wanted something that was easy to move around, hang up over my head, and take down again. I used it to lift up a lawn mower that I converted to remote control and put it on saw horses so I didn't have to bend over all the time. I have used big multi-ton overhead cranes before so I am familiar with these type of things. I can easily pick this baby (10 lbs.) version up with one hand and hold the strap with the other hand while I suspend it from the ceiling. It works smoothly and is well made. I store it in a small fabric carrying case that came with a cordless drill. All I can say is that this thing is awesome, wish I bought it years ago. I give it the most possible stars. I considered an electric unit, but wanted to keep it as small and simple as possible, and I am still happy with that decision.

So far so good.The actual hoist unit is rather small, about small palm size but quite heavy, the chain links look a little flimsy about 2/3” (will measure and update), and all comes in a compact little carry bag, not sure what for, since I mounted it for permanent use in my garage to haul building material and similar to my upper loft.So far no complaints, but I have not used often and definitely not even close to capacity (500kg or half a ton). - Durability will be the deciding factor.4 STARS --> (*RATE SCALE*: 5=perfect; 4=minor imperfections; 3=on fence; not sure if I’d buy again; 2= too many problems; 1= shouldn’t be sold or is dangerous).
