I bought two of these dummy batteries and both stopped working after 2-3 uses. Haven't had this issue for any other cables from Alvin. Thankfully Amazon customer service was able to provide a refund.

Cables randomly dies on shoot only 2 months in, almost ruins the shoot day. All other cables and the splitter as well as the camera is fine. But this just turn into a $50 lemon

Tested this out today with my new Sony A7sIII and a Comer D&O Lighting v-mount battery.It works, but as someone else suggested, the d-tap connection is a bit loose. I am confident it will stay plugged in, but would like more of a snug fit so it doesn't accidentally get pulled out during filming.

The dummy battery works flawlessly with the A7III and A7RIII (tested on both). The dtap connector is a little bit loose when connected to my vmount battery but that might be the battery, i don’t know.
