I had mixed results with these planters. Was hard to thread my micro-irrigation tubes in it, and overall it was a pain to manually water around all sides as well. Because they sit on the ground in my balcony the compartments closer to the ground don't get much sun, and the absence of wheels make them harder to move around. On the other hand the top compartments sometimes get too much sun and dry out quicker.

I grow many different varieties of the same herb (cinnamon basil, lemon basil, Thai basil, same with thymes and oregano). Great for growing mint and keeping it controlled. Filled the planter with Miracle Gro organic potting soil, all herbs are growing fast.
