If you work on computers or anything with sensitive electronics like a motherboard. Then this electromagnetic wristband is a great option. I tried to produce a static electric charge while wearing it and was unsuccessful. I can only infer that the wristband is doing it's job and keeping the shock away from my fingertips. The wristband itself will fit any size hand as it has holes going all the way to the top of the band for you to select the perfect size. This is one of those products, you don't want too loose or too tight. I'm looking forward to my next computer build while wearing this band.

I am beyond thrilled with how well this anti-static bracelet works. I used to regularly get shocked while walking on my under-desk treadmill and attempting to type on my laptop. It got to the point where I was apprehensive to even attempt to walk and work because of the frequency I would get shocked, and it would adversely affect my mouse trackpad. This strap eliminates ALL shocks! It is easy to put on and it is comfortable to wear. There are no batteries required so this is really a forever item. This strap is an essential item (in my opinion) if you like to use an under-desk treadmill while working! No shock, but I highly recommend this phenomenal item that is worth every penny!

You will notice as you use this for the first time the led indicator showing its absorption. Very modern instrument for static elimination... taking this to the tech school for further examination.Says you should wear it all the time for constant discharge, however I think it is perfect for the tech that needs the occasional grounding with the sensitive items we deal with these days. Small enough profile for carry.

Works perfect and fits well, just wished it was a little easier to secure the strap, other then that this is an excellent product, no more static shocks that I was used to getting on a daily basis.

I am always getting zapped by static electricity from synthetic bedding sheets at hotels during my overnights and when I saw this band I honestly thought this actually worked. Then, after I placed my order I felt like I had turned into a donkey. This is garbage. Do not buy this. Not only it doesn't work. It arrived damaged straight out of the box. The little metal piece is hanging with a tiny thin wire sticking out the back of the band. Please do not be tempted into buying this piece of garbage. It does not work. It's placebo and it's a waste of 15 dollars. You've been warned.

I love the idea of this. I do a lot of work with electronics and grounding straps can really get annoying at times. When I saw what effectively looks like a wireless grounding strap, I wanted to try it out. It came packaged well, and blinked red a couple times when I was unboxing it and putting it on. Cool. Not sure exactly how it's supposed to do what it claims to do. It's got metal contacts in the back that touch your skin when wearing it, not unlike a smart watch. Supposedly it just pulls in any static electricity you generate while wearing it. Presumably it then neutralizes that charge within the device somehow. Any really major spikes in static are supposed to cause the red light in the face to blink. The rest of the time it doesn't look like it's even doing anything. Seems simple enough. But how to test if it's actually working... I decided to go get on a trampoline. Those things generate tons of static. This device should light up like a Christmas tree if it's working... Absolutely nothing happened. No blinking lights at all. I bounced around for a couple minutes, then decided to get off. Moment of truth time, touching the metal rail on the edge of the trampoline that is grounded. ZAP!F%$+@^!!! Yeah, this thing didn't neutralize any of that static charge. No blinking lights. No less pain when my overcharged finger touched a grounded metal rail. Oh well, I really hoped it would work as advertised, but I guess I get to keep wearing grounding straps.

I can’t say for sure that this does nothing at all, but it’s not something that you can count on to make yourself static-safe.I figured that this was inexpensive enough to give it a trial. At work I’ve been working on something that has been getting affected by static discharge when people move around in their chairs. I’ve been pushing for a more ESD-safe workstation and it’s in the works, but in the meantime I decided to give this gadget a try.I understand how ESD safety works and I know that being properly grounded is what you need to do to prevent this and this wrist band cannot do this because there is no connection, but why not see what it could do?From the point of my particular issue, this wrist band did absolutely nothing. The static events seen on an oscilloscope was exactly the same with or without this wristband. Grounding myself with my temporary makeshift wired connection did work.I’m generously giving this a 2-star rating because it “might” be doing something regarding getting static shocks when I touch doorknobs and things like that. I do see the red LED flash occasionally that might be related. I did see some red flashes while I was at home petting my cat, and it seemed like it was preventing me from getting zapped when I touched things, but this experience was in no way any kind of scientific experiment. My gut feeling is that this wristband doesn’t do anything, and it certainly doesn’t provide any ESD protection when working on sensitive electronics, but it “might” help reduce uncomfortable zaps.If you’re looking for something to provide ESD safety, get something that actually provides a physical ground.
