This shower panel is aesthetically pleasing to the eye however it has some cheap ABS plastic components included. The hand wand and hand wand holder are made out of ABS plastic which I don’t expect will hold up over the long term. Disappointed the MFG chose to use ABS plastic for these two parts. Also the precut hole where the hand wand holder is mounted to the shower panel had to be enlarged using a metal file in order for the brass threaded coupler to go through the side mounting hole (see photo)Lastly, this shower panel is not enclosed at the upper section of the shower panel (see photo)

We installed 2 of these in bathroom remodels. LOVE it. We are tall people, so the shower head is great for us, and the jets are wonderful. I am looking to remodel bathrooms in my new house and I'm buying these for all 3 bathrooms.

This Anzzi wall shower unit is a classic example of securing defeat from the jaws of victory. It looks good, is easy to install, seems to be well-made — except for one important part that’s plastic (ABS) instead of metal. Anzzi saving $5 on ABS over metal on the hand shower connector/holder is so short-sighted it boggles the mind.During the simple assembly, you must attack a high pressure hose, with a gasket insert, onto this holder. The gasket is so thick, there’s only room for about 2 rotations onto the plastic threads before you feel resistance. Since this is an internal high-pressure connection, it’s got to be on fairly tight, but not too tight because it’s plastic. The difference isn’t much, stripping the threads is incredibly easy. I knew this, was really careful, yet it had a slow leak from day one.I removed it, teflon tapped the threads again, gently attached it again, it was worse. Threads slightly stripped under high pressure will leak every time. Calling Anzzi tech support was a complete waste of time. The first person was nice enough but clueless, the 2nd transfer ditto. She said I needed to be transferred again, but they were busy, they’d call back that same day. Nothing but crickets for 2 days…I thought about it. Anzzi will just ship me another cheap ABS part, lucky to get it in a week+. I looked on Amazon for a 3rd party all-metal replacement. Bingo. $20, arrived two days later. It’s chrome rather than brushed nickel, but that version was $35 and would take a week longer to get. The chrome part doesn’t stand out nearly as much as I thought it would, and it’s chrome covered brass — very durable. My advice? If you really like the looks/features of this shower unit, buy the metal replacement part at the same time…https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LSGBDTJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Before I bought it I called the store to find our if I needed a special valve to have it installed? They didn't know but promised to check with the manufacturer and let me know. Never heard back from them. I called the manufacturee myself and was told, no problem It can be used anywhere with out a special valve. I bought it. The installer couldn't install it. I spoke to the manufacturer again and was told, no, it won't work on your type shower. So I sent it back after it had held up the remodel for about a week. Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper.
