Beam focus is not adjustable. I do like how the brightest setting is the first power option. I don't like having to cycle through all the settings to power off the light. Thats a pet peeve of mine of mine in general. Light seems durable, strap is relatively thick as well. Light is bright and has decent beam distance. Power cycle goes high, med, low, strobe, SOS then off.Battery is completely removed and placed in charging cradle to charge.

We use headlamps often, and so my fiancé and I have tried many different kinds from various brands. I knew when I saw this one that we'd have to try it out, and so far, it has not disappointed. It fits comfortably and it's easy to adjust, and the light it gives off is very bright. The only reason I gave it four stars is because of how hot it gets after continual use, but it only takes about ten minutes for it to start getting pretty hot at times. For some reason, it isn't all the time, but rather, it happens randomly with regular use. I don't have a solution for this yet, and perhaps the light output is so much that there's no way around it, but it does give me pause to notice that it's hot enough to burn my at times. Otherwise I would say it's the best headlamp we've used to date, and I still highly recommend this product, but please so take note of the heat it can give off at times, for safety purposes.

First I must preface this review with I am not a scuba diver and have not used this light for its intended use. I am however always looking for good quality light sources for home, garage, and outdoor use. First, this is an absolute beast of a light in terms of weight and quality of materials. This is definitely an all metal product with no flimsy plastic parts, it has a lot of heft to it. This can be cumbersome when worn on the head as intended. The fine thread screw cap for the battery is of very good quality with a rubber seal to keep out moisture and water. I have yet to use the light long enough to realize its battery life but it come with a 5000 mAh battery and charge which should last a good while. The light itself is super bright. I live in a rural area with lots of trees and foliage. I do have a clear shot from my front porch to my neighbors trees across a main highway which is 175 yards away according to my laser rangefinder. This little light lit those trees up like a Christmas tree. Very powerful light with decent clarity. Again, I don't know how this would fair in dark murky waters, but it very bright out of water. The button is very crisp and has a good quality feel to it, not cheap. I plan to change the rubber diving strap for a more traditional headlight strap off of one of my old lights but I think wearing it on the head is going to be a little cumbersome and heavy. This would be a good light to carry anywhere though with its compact size. Overall, very high quality light that is super heavy duty, I look forward to getting many uses out of it.

This is a high quality diving headlamp, as it has the highest waterproof rating of IP68. The package comes with a separate charger for the battery and it clearly shows red during charging and turns green when fully charged. The battery is a high 5000 mAh capacity, type 21700 Lithium Ion. To put in the battery after charged, note to put with positive going in first, and have to gently tighten it. There are two O-rings for waterproof sealing. Good that there are two spare in the package. You need to really, gently, tighten it to the very end or the light will not work. I think this is good so as to make sure you are aware that it is tight before you dive into the water. Note that Lithium Ion battery should be avoided to get wet or submerged into the water.The headlamp is very bright, 3000 lumens. Control is by one button, well sealed, at the other end opposite to the battery compartment. I like the simple control. There are 5 lighting modes. But to turn off you have to go through the mode-cycle.The strap is made of rubber material, adjustable, elastic and comfortable to wear.Note: according to the manual, this is designed to be used as diving headlamp, used under water. It is not recommended to use it on the ground, (without water cooling). Only problem is it will get a little hot but is still normal. I would advise not to use it under a high-temperature environment and check that if it is getting too warm.Overall: It is a very good headlamp designed for diving, bright and useful, of high quality. The casing is aluminum and very durable. Highly recommended.

Phew - not joking about the lumens... This makes a light beam that fully illuminates the area across the street (full disclosure: neighbor got a little nervous following the night testing). Beware: it gets warm pretty fast, if you're not in water (should be self-explanatory since it's a diving headlamp, just saying). The band is reasonably adjustable and the backing pad is rubber in order to not slip off your wet noggin. The included battery slow charged for me, although that may have been more of an "almost fully charged" situation, when it arrived. Excited to try this out in open water - encouraged by preliminary testing.
