buyer beware, it'll bolt on. but like many have stated, the internals on this are garbage, wipers wouldnt work except on hi speed, and the turn signal barely works. this is junk.

I was having an issue where my blinker would not self-cancel after turning. Ordered this guy and it worked like a charm. I think it took me around 30 minutes to install at most and I was taking my time.

Fixed the problem and was easy to install. I had no signals or brake lights on my 2001 explorer sport. This item fixed the problem at a fraction of the cost of buying from the dealer.

The purchase was delivered overnight as promised and the quality appears to be ok based on visual inspection. Also, once installed it appears that all of the switches work as they should. The emergency flasher button seems to be a little sticky in its operation but I'm hoping it will feel/be more fluid in going between on and off position after it is used a few times. I will repost if there is some unpleasant lesson about durability of the unit after I've driven the car for a while.I was hesitant at first about how long it might take to install this and/or whether the steering wheel would need to come off to get to everything. It proved to be very easy and of course the steering wheel stayed in place. Here as a few comments on the install. You need a medium Phillips head screwdriver to remove the 3 screws that hold the bottom side of the plastic shroud that covers the bottom side of steering column and multi-switch. The wholes to get to the screws are obvious if you look at the plastic cover from the underside...or simply by using your fingers to feel for the wholes and then insert the screwdriver. Note that if you use this approach that there is one access hole that isn't over a screw; it's for a different purpose.Once you take the screws off turn, turn the steering wheel height adjusting release post counter clockwise to unscrew it. I did this with my fingers but it was a bit tight at first so you might need to use a pair of pliers.I wiggled the bottom part of the plastic cover and it came off quite easily. To remove the top half of the plastic cover was almost as quick. It helps to move the steering column to the lowest position, so to do that I temporarily screwed the lever for adjusting the steering height back into place . Then I had to put the key in the ignition and start the car so I could put my foot on the brake and move the shift lever to the position for drive or maybe 2nd gear. That made it easier to wiggle the top half of the plastic cover and get it off of the steering column and pull it off of the shifter lever. After that I turned everything off again. This step only took a minute but before that I spent a minute or two figuring out what the obstructions were so that I didn't break anything. With everything uncovered you can see that the multiswitch is held in place by two screws with #20 torque head screws. They are plainly visible at the top and bottom of the plastic housing for the unit. Once they are loose you can twist the switch unit to see how the two wiring harnesses connect at the back. There is nothing tricky about the clips that hold the harness in place. They simply need to be gently pulled out a big as you wiggle the wiring harness fitting off of the switch. Be careful, however, because the clips that hold the harness are not at all durable and it would easy to break them off. Check the ends of the wiring harness connector to make sure there is no rust or corrosion that might interfere with the electrical flow. If there is, try to clean it with some electrical connector solution. Then you simply connect the harness to the new switch unit. At this point I started the car and checked each of the functions controlled by the multiswitch. Then, you reverse the procedure to put everything back together. The only things I'd mention about the reassembly process are that: 1. it takes some patience to wiggle the top cover back into the correct position; a parting point is to be sure that it doesn't interfere with the operation of the hazard light switch which protrudes through the cover and that the cover fits snuggly around the top of the ignition switch.2. I moved the height adjustment on the steering wheel as I was trying to get the top cover in place to see clearances better.3. once everything is together try each of the switch functions.I hope these comments are helpful to novices like me. You do not need to be a mechanic to do any of this and it only takes a Phillips screwdriver and a #20 torx driver. If you have a "kit" that includes a screwdriver handle and a variety of different tips, it is pretty likely that one of them will be the tip for a #20 torq head screw.

Worked on my 2002 Mazda B3000. Definitely worth the money. Only complaint is the bend of the lever is the opposite of the stock one. Stock would curve down. This one goes up. Since it cost less than half the price of auto parts store I’m more than happy with purchase.
