I installed this A-Premium Starter Motor today, on my 2013 Ford F150 3.5 Ecoboost with no difficulty. The hardest part was getting the washers and nuts on the cable terminals because of my large hands. The truck started right up. With my old starter, there were times I would need to turn the key 10 to 15 times to get it to crank. This starter was only half the cost of a Motorcraft starter but looked pretty much identical to the old one. This starter seems to be of solid quality and does what it needs to do.

I purchased this starter because it specifically said it was for a 2017 ford f150 3.5l lariot 4x4 . Well it fit the opening however the body of the cast does not quite cover the existing opening in the bell housing - did it work? Yes the starter engaged but with a lot of noise and does not quite cover existing opening on engine which could be a problem down the line for f-150 3.5l engines - ecoboost

Everything on the starter looked fine, no obvious quality issues. Perfect drop in replacement for the factory starter. After installation, the truck started without issue. It fixed our no crank, no start problem.

A copy of the original with the added bonus of stainless cable between the solenoid and starter motor, my original was made of copper and had corroded. Installed and works fine.

Starter-wise it works. Unfortunately the terminal posts were offset as far as the oem version and the battery connector made contact with the terminal connection for the ignition. After a few colorful words I was able to offset them enough with a stack of washers. Doing this made it so the plastic cap wouldn’t fit back over the connections. I’m back on the road and the plastic cap now resides in my tool box, but probably wouldn’t buy again. 2013 F150 with 3.7 V6

I ordered on July 24 2024 and it went bad November 26 2024. It only lasted 4 months and I had to replace it. I noticed when I first installed it that it turned over noticeably slower. It went bad and I had to get my vehicle towed and bought a new one from the auto part store and it started right up. The new turns over faster also. Very disappointed.

Half the price of auto stores. Easy to install. I have to modify the positive cable slightly to avoid being close to the ground. Easy peasy fix that saved me $150.

Perfect match for my 2016 Ford F150 XLT Ecoboost. Truck fired right up once installed. Seems like a good product. I am not familiar with the brand but they seem to have a lot of positive reviews and this part reflects that so far.
