I bought 3 of these, one for a 100 gallon RODI tank, and the other two for my two 75 gallons and they heat marvelously. If the water level goes below the heaters, they will automatically shut off and do the beaping noise to alert you.I love them so far, they also quickly heat from 60 degrees to 85 degrees within one hour.Safe for the 100 Gallon RODI tank, for anything with fish / inverts I'd move a couple degrees an hour so they don't go into shock

Got this for our aquarium. It works fine, gets the job done. Seems to have some issues getting that last degree sometimes (if set to 78 I found it spent a lot of time at 77), nothing too serious. Mounts to the wall well.

As stated not using this in an aquarium. We have a greenhouse and to make sure during freezing weather that the inside tem stays above freezing we heat 55 gallon drums to 80 degrees with these heaters.Even if the power goes out it takes hours for the thermal mass of the water to cool down. When it's sunny and warm when the water temp reaches our desired temp the heater shuts off to save energy.Working great for our use.

We used a few of these through the winter to keep outdoor livestock and poultry water from icing up, and it did the job! This was likely way more than it is designed for, but it kept up, at least for one rough season. Here's hoping it does again next year!

To say I am not fan of AQQA is an understatement. I have found their filter pumps and aquarium vacuum to be miserable fails so far. The heater is doing its job just fine though, so maybe all isn't lost for them. Or maybe, pretty much anyone can make an effective aquarium heater, either way - this one is working fine.
