Okay, I haven't had the opportunity (as of yet) to really put this tarp to a good bush crafting expedition. But, from what I have seen and felt of this tarp, I am extremely happy to have this. The material is absolutely top quality. This is nowhere near the quality of the other tarps that I have had and used - it is far superior! I know that this is an expensive product, but in this instance and in my opinion - you get what you pay for.If you are considering going and doing a little "off the grid" living outdoors, you need to have a good quality tarp... It is so versatile and an absolute necessity. If you are a fan of the History channel's show "Alone," then you know how important the tarp is - especially for the first couple of days. You can either incorporate this into your shelter fabrication, or you can create a quick shelter while you are building your more permanent shelter, etc...There is no to very little doubt in my mind, that this tarp will survive a good long while and will withstand the elements. It is relatively light in weight, but definitely NOT "lightweight." Having this tarp in my repertoire of survival gear, gives me more peace of mind. And, not only is this good to have to go camping and practice some of your bush-crafting techniques, but if you live in an area like Florida, where you could have your permanent dwelling destroyed by a Tornado and/or Hurricane, having this to create a quick shelter is absolutely a great idea.So - ABSOLUTELY, I do recommend this product. I am so extremely happy with it and grateful that I was given the opportunity to test this out and to share my impressions of it. And, on that note... I do plan to put this to a week long test this October and when I return from my excursion, I will come back and update my review and share my experience, etc... But, I doubt that I will be disappointed...

This is an impressive tarp and totally makes the case for the old saying that you get what you pay for. It's a lightweight and pliable material that doesn't make a ton of noise in the wind like stiffer varieties can. The material is very impressive and has done a great job sheltering the blustery side of my porch from rain. The design is obviously well thought out and intended to be a life saver. It can be secured in a variety of ways for a range of applications. It makes a good sun shelter as well. At this generous size I fully expected it to weigh more. It's so lightweight and easy to carry it makes an excellent addition to our emergency supplies. We expect to use it a lot this next year to help make our campsites more visible and distinguishable for our grandchildren.

Strong and durable enough to provide to provide shelter from wind and rain, yet light weight enough to take on a backcountry trek. Incredibly tough material. Great for a canoe trip and the unexpected storm.
