Update. 2nd one, first one disappeared in the rocks under the lilies I believe. Or the Koi sucked it down. Tied a rock to it. Will get another that's a floater, maybe. Time will tell how well this works.

I got this because it was black and sleek looking. Unfortunately the temp marker is barely visible. It isn’t white and doesn’t stand out - half the time if there is a piece of debris on my thermometer I have to wipe it to make sure I’m seeing the temp, and not a piece of brown leaf debris. Ultimately I will keep it because I already got it - but if I could buy again I’d look for a black one with a white line for the temp.

We made the mistake of not putting the thermometer into use immediately after receiving the product. Once we did 45 days later the thermometer never moved off of 42 degrees. It was broken right from the start. A complete waste of money!
