I bought this adapter to use with my Sony NEX – 5R; however, the adapter does not fit this camera. The adapter does not have clearance and therefore will not twist into place. Also, even if it did twist into place, I do not believe the camera will work unless the lens has connectors that match the camera.(photos attached ).I did give it three stars because you can tell that the adapter is very well-made and if it is compatible with your camera, it should last a long time.

I had to use 1/2 of this and 1/2 of another one to get mu Panasonic GH2 to fit the eye tube of my vintage Olympus Medical microscope (best machining there too). The camera fit was perfect but the dostance for my occular tube was bot able to focus unless I pulled it back some and the it was too far off of the tube so I ended up remobing the given tube for a longer one that was about 25mm (1”) longer and now it all sits snug and parallel (flat to the tube) and I have no tube wobble! Love it!Tardigrades, here we come (wife is a tardigrade hunter

It works as expected. I used it on a canon m50 and it interfaced to my telescope.

Fits perfectly with my Canon EOS M50 Mark II camera for my Celestron StarSense Explorer 130mm and Celestron NexStar 6SE telescopes. I managed to get some nice photos, including one of the Orion Nebula and the Christmas Tree Cluster. Taken with ISO 12800, 0 ev, and 8 & 10 seconds of exposure (respectively). Thanks for the great product!

If you're new to this like me, you may also think this would attach the camera to the lens of the telescope... it doesn't, and you just have to hold the camera up to the lens to take a shot. I'm sure it works fine, and this misunderstanding is more my problem than Astromania's, but I have to admit I'm gutted and wish it had made that clear somewhere :/

The attached image of the moon was captured using a Canon M50 through a 4.5" reflector with a built-in Barlow doubler to get an effective focal length of 1000mm.I just got the camera as well as this scope adapter so I am still getting the hang of making adjustments to the camera manually as well as focusing via the camera eyepiece. The picture is a very early learning shot.

If you look closely at the photos that go with this item, you'll notice that the piece that fits into the camera is different in the first photo. In that first photo, that piece is short. In the other photos, it's noticeably longer. What I received was NOT like the shorter one in the first photo. I received the longer one - labelled T2-FX - and it's too long I cannot focus the image onto my camera. Do not buy this, because you really don't know what you're getting.

This thing works great on my Olympus epl1. I can achieve proper focus with my refractor and my C8 SCT.Only issu I have is that it’s just a little loose on the bayonet that attaches to the camera so it’s possible to shimmy it just enough that it could throw my flat frames out of alignment. Most software helps correct for that though but it’s something to be aware of. Also it could cause an angled few instead of straight on into the scope. Not much but I’m picky.

Well-made and attached firmly to my Fuji X-T3, but I could not achieve prime focus on my 6" Skywatcher Dobsonian. Probably works fine on a refractor scope.

Had to update my review to 5 stars, as there's nothing wrong with this product. Provides a back focus of 54mm on Fujifilm bodies. That is wise, as some accessories have a shorter back focus than stated. If your accessory has real 55mm backfocus or uses M48x0. 75 threads, use the proper spacer.----- old review -----The larger body that connects to the camera was too long to allow me to focus the infinite with my Celestron Powerseeker 114. It did attach firmly to the telescope, and is nicely made. However, didn't work with my telescope. I even tried replacing that piece with a M42 adapter (thread has a different step anyway), which is about 5mm shorter. Managed to gain a few meters of focus, but still no infinite focus.Ideas to the seller:1. provide a shorter adapter.2. Make a thread on the 1.25" piece so one can add a filter.3. I don't know if the thread between the two pieces is standard. If not, make it M42x1.

I am just starting a hobby in astrophotography. I have asimple refractor with 1.25inch eyepiece mounts and a Nikon 1 J1 camera. The combination of the two mechanical connections should be rare to find in n adapter, but not for Astromania. I ordered their matched set of a 1.25 extension with T2 threads, and an adapter from T2 to Nikon 1 threads. The two threaded perfectly together and then the assembly made mounting my camera to the telescope simple. The adapter is aluminum with hard black anodizing and beautiful fit and finish. It is interesting that the thread rings are themselves mounted to the housings and held by set screws. This must permit modularity to meet many combinations of threads to adapt. Very clever.
