Installed fine on my first canoe. I didn't realize how small they are, was expecting a little bigger but they work fine and look good on my canoe.

Life saver, I purchased these so I would be able to anchor my kayak while entering and exiting it. This seems to be one the harder things for me to do. Also when I get an anchor I can use them to tie off the anchor. Easy to install small enough to not be in the way yet larger enough to hold my kayak to the dock.

These are great for kayaks with track mounts or even if you have to drill through the top and add flat washers and locking nuts. Just be sure to use stainless hardware. My son tried to convince me I needed an anchor trolley on my kayak. I didn't like the idea of putting any mounting holes in the side of my kayak so I installed three pair of these on tracks instead of an anchor trolley. Once my Son saw them and how fast it is to relocated the anchor line points with cleats he decided to rig his new kayak the same way. It works out perfectly and functions as intended.Three sets of these are a fraction of the cost of a good quality anchor trolley system and only takes minutes to mount. If you have track rails in all the right areas as I do you can play around with the locations until you get them just right for your needs.

These cleats are of OK quality and certainly a good value for the money. However, despite the statement in the listing (as well as on the packaging) they are NOT pre-drilled for #12 screws but for #8's. I must say that #12's seemed too large for cleats this size. Eights are just right.
