I like this cord for making necklaces with sterling silver clasps. You do have to melt ends to prevent fraying.

I need replacement cordage that is about 0.065" in diameter. 1/16" (1.6mm) is close enough to work. Although this cord is labeled and advertised as 1/16" (1.6mm) it measures 0.085" which is a little over 2mm. Unfortunately this is too thick to work for me. Now, did I get a mislabeled spool? If I order more will I get the right stuff? Is this a quality control issue? ???? It looks like it would work fine if it was the size printed on the spool. Do I dare buy Atwood again? Probably not. When the best product is American made why not buy it.

Atwood cordage and rope are the best of the best. Well worth the little bit of extra money.

I had some glow in the dark plastic skeletons that I decided I wanted to string up near the house for Halloween. I decided to make them look like a row of dancing skeletons, especially since the breezy weather we had would make them look like they were moving. The black cord was thin enough to "disappear" at a distance while still supporting the skeletons in case of a strong wind and/or rain. I also ran a string of purple & green led lights intertwined under the line of skeletons to highlight them at night. I had enough cord to run a double string between a porch post & a nearby dead tree so that the skeletons were fully supported & could be posed in different ways. It worked great. This type of cord is great to use for Halloween & other holidays when you want outdoor items to appear like they are floating in mid-air.

This cordage will work for my purpose and seems strong but if you need 1/16th” cord, this is not it.

Knot to be missed. Great cordage. Has excellente strength to size and weight ratio

Worked well for stringing my wind chime. The cord is thicker than that of the Woodland chime. I hope it holds up as well since it does not state what the cord is made of. I was hoping for braided nylon.
