Bought it only for the red led lights since a lot of manufacturers only offer blue. I've got a working skar 7 band eq, I swapped it out for this, and the damn thing doesn't work. Very distorted sound and the red LED lights, only 2 work... sending it back, I will stay with my blue lights in my skar EQ.

This greatly expanded the utility of my amazon special bottom barrel radio receiver. Made adding amplifiers and sound adjustments far easier. Best feature is that it does not lose memory or setting when power is disconnected and is slim enough to be unobtrusive. I did get annoyed by the constant red LED lights, fortunately it is easy to open up and de-solder the longer resistor near the power plug, labeled 100/1w in the photo. This only runs the LED lights. After a year of use, comfortable with 5 stars for value equalizer.

Shipping was great however it's a bottom of the barrel EQ! do yourself a favor and spend an extra 10 dollars to buy anything other than this one. Very cheaply made and to use the "fade" you have to add another amp witch defeats the the point of purchasing it. The other issue is "radio/cassette" or "cd" button! Cassette!!! Really!!!! also no fuse to protect your vehicle or the component.

if i turn the amp way up and then adjust the eq vol its harder to get any clipping (distortion). I have not gotten any clipping from the line-in to the eq. Its a balance between amp vol (background noise if to high), eq vol, eq band levels, and a line-in.

Horrible distortion as volume increases
