So lovely to use while hand quilting. Have tried others but this is definitely the best. I won’t use any other make

My fox red Labrador looks exactly like this one. Overall the quality of fabric and picture photo as well as the size of the photo is exactly as I wanted and as described. Great product.

Heavily quilted a twin sized quilt with just one of this (used polyester for bobbin) and there's still a bunch of thread left, was not expecting this at all! I wasn't sure exactly how big the spool was going to be when I ordered it and I was disappointed when I saw it was so small, but it actually has a lot. Since it's so thin, there's a lot of thread in this little spool. I ordered a big cone afterwards and I assume it's going to last me through dozens of quilts. It's thinner than the usual thread so the stitching looks beautiful. Great quality thread.

I read a bunch of reviews before buying this. I had been mildly disappointed with my previous thread purchases. The previous thread was too big and had LOTS of lint and so on. This one says it comes from Italy - It really comes from heaven! This is the very best thread I have ever used. I bought a second spool so I won't run out. It is a bit more expensive, but not so much considering how good it is and how clean it is to sew with. It has worked well with my quilting and with my other projects as well.

This thread is a wonderful find, allowing an accurate 1/4" seam due to it's thinness. This makes it much easier to square up the blocks and then again the quilt top as there is much less size variability. So much goes into quilting it doesn't pay to use cheap thread- you'll literally see the difference at the end of the piecing and quilting process with a "wonky" looking quilt top. I don't like the curliness of Aurofil, besides that there's nothing bad to say, lots of good (large spools go on forever, more thread able to be wound on the bobbin, relatively lint free, strong). The neutral collection is good for most quilting needs with a nice variety of the basic neutrals needed for piece work.

I'm convinced Aurifil is the best thread available. I use it for quilting and regular sewing. I have never been disappointed with it. The range of solid colors and variegated colors is great. It doesn't leave a bunch of lint like some more widely available and cheaper threads. The threads are thinner, but are stronger than some other brands, too. I love this brand and will never put another thread in my beloved machine again.

Aurifil thread is made from extra long egyptian cotton, it is a smoother and finer thread then most other manufacturers thread. When stippling using aurifil thread in the bobbin made the stitching look great where other thread on the bobbin, wouldn't interlock, and in places it was just a straight line on the bottom of the quilt. The only thing I didn't like was the price, but if you want great thread to make your projects look better, buy Aurifil. I had tried everything I could think of, even sending my machine in for servicing, trying different bobbins and thread, adjusting tension. The thread made the difference.

If you are a quilter there is nothing better than this brand of thread. It is very thin so you can wind more on a bobbin and it is very strong. It leaves very little lint. One spool lasts a long time. It is well worth the price.

How many times have you carefully measured before cutting your pieces, used a quarter inch foot on your machine and slowly stitched the pieces precisely to form a block . . .then measured your block and discovered it was smaller than the instructions said it should be?This used to be the most frustrating part about quilting for me . . .so much so, I'd take my blocks to various instructors to trouble shoot. That's when I discovered Aurifil 50 wt thread. I never realized how much difference the thread could make. But think about it . . .if the thread being used is approximately the same size as the threads woven into the fabric, the seams bury themselves into the fabric and take up less space . . .making perfect seams every time. Now, run a length of chain store thread through your fingertips and notice the lumps . . .absolutely no lumps in the Aurifil thread. Absolutely, hands down, the best thread for piecing. However, because it's so fine, if stitching garments, it's certainly strong enough to hold seams together, but it's more difficult to pull gathers . . .so don't get rid of your poly/cotton threads as they still come in handy for garment sewing . . .but nothing but Aurifil comes near my quilts! And one last thing about Aurifil 50wt, which may be the best part . . .because it's finer (though just as strong) than most other threads, more can be wound on the bobbin. I especially notice this difference when using my smaller machine with standard size bobbins. More time sewing, less time winding bobbins, helps me make the most of my limited sewing time.

I was required to purchase this for a quilting class for beginners I took. I have a new high quality machine and it was workable, but I did have some troubles. Even though I am new I was taught to buy good thread and shown why it makes a difference. This thread is good, I just had some troubles. Maybe it was me.
