Butterflies love the flowers of this variety along with birds who may even call it home.
  • LOW MAINTENANCE: This Encore Azalea Autumn Amethyst does not require any pruning, but if you would like, you can trim them after the spring blooming has concluded. Since this is an evergreen azalea rhododendron, its beautiful foliage will continue to be a centerpiece in your garden during the winter months.
  • USDA ZONES: Encore Azalea Autumn Amethyst is hardy in USDA Zones 6a-10b. Plant in full sun to partial shade as it requires 4-6 hours of sunlight to provide optimum growth and flowering. Water thoroughly twice per week until established, then water once per week. Do not allow water to pool.

The Autumn Amethyst Encore Azalea produces tons of small purple blooms in spring summer and fall. This evergreen shrub has lush green new foliage in spring that matured to a deep dark green that bronzes to a deep purple in winter that adds interest to the winter landscape. The Autumn Amethyst has a neat and compact dwarf growth habit that is very easy to maintain with minimal pruning. This is one of the most cold hardy Encore Azaleas with the ability to thrive in USDA zone 6A. Use this azalea in your landscape or garden as a specimen, accent, low hedge or foundation. The Autumn Amethyst is also great for planting in large pots either in a mixed container or a standalone!

I was amazed at the excellent packaging, plant condition and size. Better than in the home improvement stores. I ordered 8 Azaleas. They are all healthy. No wilting after planting. I will order more plants from Amazon. It has been a very good plant ordering experience.

I am a repeat customer and love the azaleas and camellias I have purchased from them. They arrive fresh and healthy and bud or bloom as soon as you get them in the ground. I'm sure I will order more.

I ordered 3, they arrived today and look very healthy, no dead twigs and all had at least 2 blooms.Packaged well and each is approx. 2 feet tall. The dirt was still damp and contains some mulch and fertilizer.I planted them immediately and the roots looked great!I will write an update in Spring! If they do well I will definitely order 3 more. It's now May 3rd. They did well through the winter. All are in bloom and all have at least 2 inches of new growth. I'm very pleased with them and highly recommend.
