Two flaws make an otherwise excellent model unacceptable. The first is a design issue and the second is a manufacturing defect.Unlike the pictured product in the listing which uses a metal rod to mount to the base, this one has a plastic stub on the bottom of the eye. The problem is that it doesn't fit securely in the base. So you can't really mount and display the eye model as expected. This is a cost-cutting design error that should never have been approved. Then the iris has a flaw on one edge that clearly occurred during fabrication. It's more obvious on the inside edge in the photos I included. This defect should never have been passed by a competent quality check.Because of these issues I have no choice but to return the item.

This is perfect for demonstrating how the eye works with the exception of the cornea. I wish it was flexible to be able to show how an astigmatic eye looks and works.

I like the model itself but I wish the labeling had been more detailed otherwise just as described

This model is very well done, and is great for teaching eye anatomy.

I like this product. It is easy to use. It is so thoughtful product, which allow me to fill color liquid to lens and virtue part and demonstrate cataract and flare in the eyes. It is brittle, of course, so should be careful to use it in case get broken due to drop on the tile ground or smash the parts. However I even can not have any suggestion because so far all design include material use in this product are reasonable.

I bought this to replace an eye model from a different company that had been broken beyond repair. This model is very similar in size and level of detail, but for half the price. I will probably buy more of these for our 100 and 200-level anatomy and physiology labs.

This anatomy teaching model of the eye is solidly made. By all appearance will endure a lot of handling by students in studying the eyes. It is seven parts: upper part of the globe, lower part of the globe, cornea, Iris, lens, vitreous humor ( and stand makes seven). Everything looks anatomically correct. There is a small booklet that identifies the parts of the eye. When using this model to teach it would be good to use extra references to understand the function of the muscles of the eye. The model includes the insertion of the inferior oblique but there is a cut out where the superior oblique would be. This is a model of a right eye noting the angle that the optic nerve comes off as well as the location of the inferior oblique insertion. My intended use is a teaching model for an introductory anatomy course I’m teaching my two youngest children homeschooling. My background is medical doctor.
