I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with this product I received. The materials employed in the construction of the laundry countertop exhibit a lack of durability, as they are notably soft, and the metal shelves do not demonstrate adequate sturdiness. As a result, the overall quality of the item is unsatisfactory. Although the assembly process was straightforward, one end of the shelf was excessively tightly wrapped, complicating the extension process and necessitating a hammer for adjustments.The countertop appears to be inexpensive and unstable, with the borders failing to secure items effectively. The inadequate thickness and stability of the borders significantly diminish their ability to support items securely. Increasing both the thickness and stability would be beneficial.On a positive note, the surface is easy to clean. I would also prefer the unit to be slightly taller and more robust. Nevertheless, the product is capable of accommodating my dryer and presents an aesthetically pleasing appearance, offering protection against scratches.

I got the BALAPET Washer and Dryer Countertop to help stop scratching my washer and dryer and it has worked. Assembly was easy, the adjustable countertop was key to getting it to fit and overall it has worked and has been non slip.

The shelf is metal and pretty sturdy. In my picture you can see that we have a rolling cart between washer and dryer. So we stretched our shelf even further than what they recommend. It still supports the items we place on it just fine. Having had this for a few months the items that are on the shelf change but have never fell of or have the shelf bow down in the middle. It's a simple product that just works. It is easy to wipe clean if detergents leak on it. We have not had any bleach splashed on it so not sure if that would affect the coating.

This countertop has been a wonderful addition to my laundry setup. It fits perfectly on top of my front-loading washer and dryer, creating an extra work surface that I really needed. The non-slip feature keeps everything in place, even with vibrations from the machines running. I love how it provides a stable area to fold clothes or organize laundry supplies. The mat also helps protect the top of my appliances from scratches. It’s a simple upgrade that has made my laundry area much more functional and organized.

I love the shelf and the extra storage and workspace it brings--you can see the clutter in my before picture, now I can easily access my cleaning products and even have some room for sorting/folding! The machine toppers are rubber and arrive folded but don't stay creased or anything.Only problem was that the shelf arrived jammed shut, warping one end so it was hard to extend and then assemble without hammering the warped areas back into place.

We live in a mobile home, and the washer and dryer are in a hallway nook. Because of their location, right next to the kitchen, a lot of things get tossed onto them to be out of sight, and put away "later." Also, I use the washer/dryer as a clothes-folding area when doing laundry. I have noticed a few scratches and marks on the machines as a result of the way we use them, and did put a towel over them--a good temporary solution, but not a terribly good one--it moves and scrunches. The machines also do not fight tightly against the rear wall, and I cannot put anything up on their backs as the gap is wide and things fall behind. AARGH. I saw this set with a protective mat, AND an adjustable shelf, at a great price, and ordered. It has solved both of my problems--protection and additional space! The mat is thick and cushy, and stays put. It is smooth on top and easy to fold clothes on. Additionally, it protects the tops of the machines from even slight damage. AND, it looks nice. It is easy to wipe clean. It fits very well, and I am happy. The adjustable shelf is sturdy and durable, and fits across the entire width of the washer/dryer, allowing for additional space to toss things temporarily, or to put folded clothes on--without fear of them falling behind the machines. It is durable and very sturdy, and easy to clean. These two items, especially in tandem, are extremely functional and useful, and I am absolutely delighted to have them. I recommend this set without hesitation.
