Love It, It has a thick foam core, and a vinyl layer which feels durable and easy to clean which covers it. There are two thick Velcro straps that lets one open it, to slide it onto the bar. I use it to hold my legs down while doing back extensions, while lying on a yoga ball. Before, this cushion I was having a hard time cushioning the bar, and sometimes the bar would hurt my leg, causing me to stop the set early. I’m glad I found this wonderful cushion that I’m sure will work equally good for hip thrusts.

This is really harmed by not having a cutout in the foam for your neck while doing squats - it might be ok if all you do is hip thrusts, but would advise against it for squats. The padding is decent, but the fabric cover which holds it around the bar isn't large enough to secure everything without REALLY stretching to try and get the velcro to hold. I suppose the workout you get trying to fasten this onto a bar might be worth something, but combined with its lack of suitability for squats, I couldn't give this more than 2 stars (and it's really probably more like 1.5) since squats are the primary usage for this in my case.

Four stars because the color is off from the advertising. Hate to be a whiner but that's my only whoa. Ad made it look like a much brighter, vibrant green coloring and what arrived at my door is more of an Army/olive. Again, not a huge deal breaker but it is a little disappointing.Other than the color, this is a great barbell squat/hip thruster pad. Made of thick foam that cushions your shoulders and comes with two velcro straps to secure it. The inside of the pad is smooth, so the pad will "spin/roll" on your bar if you don't cinch it down tight. Other than that, though.... it works great!!

I use this pad for squats and for when I have to tuck my feet under my squat rack when I do my sit ups. I love it! Its very comfortable to use. I am able to lift more weights on my back with no problems.
