This is a nice kit to have for those who play soft bar baseball. This helps you break in your glove really well. We have used it on a lot of the girls mitts on my team.

Super solidly made, this really helped to wear in my son's new baseball mitt. Easy to use, perfectly polished wood, and a great weight. It's weird, but I'm actually debating on using this to pound mochi!!

What I like most about this is that it comes with everything you need to break in a glove, between a ball for holding the pocket while not in use, to the mallet (which is way more durable feeling that I was expecting) and two wraps. I'm using this kit on a new A2000 catcher's glove, and it's my first time using a mallet, which after watching some videos seems like it is the best way to break in a new glove. Some might wonder why this doesn't come with glove oil as well, but really warm water is apparently the best thing to use in conjunction with the mallet. The straps are almost not quite long enough to get around the glove, but I don't think there's a case where you'd have a glove that they won't fit, since I'm already using it on a catcher's glove. Honestly it's probably better that way because it closes the glove nice and tightly while I'm not working on it. A+, would recommend.

This kit seems a bit expensive for what it is, but it really should hold up nicely over time. And it does the job too. Definitely speeds up the break in process compared to just wearing a new glove and breaking it in naturally.

I've never used a glove mallet, choosing to break gloves in with some oil and a baseball. There's not much to dislike about this kit. We got a new catcher's mitt, and I wanted to give this a try. The kit arrived in a box just big enough to fit everything. The mallet appears well-made and feels excellent to use. The elastic straps are very robust and are long enough to get around my son's catcher's mitt (size 32.5). I'm not too concerned with the colors of the straps. The included ball is very solid. In the event you don't have a baseball to stuff into a glove, the included ball is definitely up to the task. All in all, a great straightforward kit for helping to create a pocket and break in a new baseball glove. The only minor comment I can think of is that the elastic straps could benefit from just a tad more length. They stretch well, but I was barely getting to the hook/loop material when I wrap the catcher's mitt with a ball. I would guess a fielder's glove would be just fine though.

My nephews prized mitt went up with his house last Christmas. So in addition to a new mitt, i got him some leather conditioner and this kit. It has really helped prep it for the little boy of summer as well as i am betting it will do a good job when it goes into snow storage. So even though he and my sister have been house sitting/hopping for a while, at least he's got his game.
