Great value. Especially compared to name brand equivalent. And it really is easy to use. The Stock screws are too short to use for bass drum clamps. That is easily solved by using a longer tension rod with the same thread pitch as the stock nut provided. I’ve been able to use these for cowbell mounts, hoop mounted bass drum spurs and more. Without changing the stock screw these work great as triple flange clamps. While it is slightly annoying to have to still use these Allen key instead of the standard square head drum key.

I have a 16 inch Tom Tom that I wanted to convert to a 16 inch floor tom that's why I bought these clamps. However when I started putting them on and when they were finished being put on and assembled properly I noticed that it deviated the head and changed the pitch because the single hook goes under and touches the shell thus causing brimples in the head and the head to actually deviate. I had to actually grind a hook off and put and put in a channel to keep the hook anchored more effectively. I believe this to be more of a oversight on the construction of this product. Another thing that the company could do better, is instead of using Allen key screws is to use Square screws that are typical and used by drummers for tuning. Thank you

Bought this since it was considerably cheaper than the exact same thing from other companies. I wasn't too concerned about the hex screws as the way to tighten this, until I actually set it up on the edge of my snare. Complete pain in the ass and not efficient at all. And then the black screw that tightens the clamp to the rim wouldn't stay tight on the rim. It was installed Yes, but not tight against the rim, so it would slide back and forth between the lugs. Would absolutely NOT buy this again. Just bite the bullet and buy the more expensive one, or an LP Claw.

This mounting bracket is a handy accessory and will work well on your drum hoop with one exception. I wanted to mount it on my bass drum hoop and the screw that connects both claws together is way too short for that. I went to the hardware store and luckily found a longer metric screw that worked. I was able to add a cowbell by mounting the bracket to the bass drum hoop and then inserted an L-rod that was needed but not included.

It fits on the side of a Tom Tom, but is too small for a bass drum.

Had to drill out the butterfly clamp section of this. You'll know what I mean if yours is like mine was, but for half the price of similar clamps, I'm down. I used this for a tom mount on a thin 3" shell briefly and finally on a DIY floor tom to Bass drum riser. Also it should be noted that the bolts are all hex key, not the typical drum key bolts.

Looking at the design of how it is supposed to function, the manufacturer did not tap the hole where the screw is supposed to slide through. When it is taken apart, one can see slight indication of threads which are not supposed to be there. The top clamping device needs to move freely. Also, would be much better if the device used common drum key to adjust rather than Allen key.I did order one, then 2 more even though I had to adjust the tapping of the hole because it is still the most economical choice available as far as I could tell.
