A great kit with everything you need for a battery swap. It took me a little over 30 minutes to complete and the step by step instructions covered everything in great detail. The value of this kit is tremendous if you need an easy DIY way to get more life out of your Mac.

Install is a lot easier than it is made out to be. I’m no master at computer repairs, but if you can navigate using a screwdriver and reading instructions, you should be good. There is a great YouTube video for the model A1398, helps to review it beforehand or during the replacement.The most time consuming part was removing the old adhesive from the OE battery. Luckily this kit comes with a few different scrapers to help lift pieces up to peel off. If anything, a little 91-99% isopropyl alcohol will help as well.Took about 45min for me, 75% of that time was adhesive removal, including separating the OE battery.While you’re in there, clean out all dust and debris from the fans and speakers, it’ll help a ton.

Just got it tonight, had the hard prep work done which was removing the old battery. New one went right in, put it all back together and the capacity is over 100% which was great to see. Charging now, will test to see how long the charge holds. Good to have my MacBook portable again.

This is a bit scary operation to perform. But the instructions and video were excellent at showing how to do the battery replacement. All the steps went without a problem. Just be patient removing each cell. That glue is a pain. All the provided tools worked great.Hopefully this battery will last a long time.

Purchased to replace a swollen battery which actually popped the case open! The included tools were great to have, didn't need anything else to do the swap. Appears to have worked perfectly. Definitely watch the video before attempting, there are a few things that can trip you up if you haven't done this before.

Trying to figure out the best replacement Mac or PC laptop battery to purchase is a guessing game at best. And because most of the batteries I buy go into client laptops, unless I receive a complaint, there is no way to track the longevity of any battery I install. To make matters worse, the list of sellers and manufacturers fluctuates. All I can say is make your best guess and go with it. The best tidbit of "wisdom" I have go offer: If you buy the least expensive battery, you can almost be guaranteed to get a low quality battery. I returned on of the inexpensive batteries because it failed to hold a good charge before my client could pick up their laptop. My general rule of thumb: if you pay a little more you usually get a better battery. Price-wise, I aim for mid to upper midrange pricing. Also pay attention to ratings for whatever they are worth. An expensive battery with a lot of low ratings - avoid..

This was a perfect fit for my 15 inch Macbook Pro (late 2013). The kit they provided had all the necessary tools to replace the battery and a very detailed step-by-step instruction booklet. I'm very happy with the quality and they made it easy to replace my old bulging battery. It's working like a charm now. I highly recommend this product and company.
