I had hoped that this FM antenna would work but it performed very poorly. I liked it's compact size but a flat panel indoor TV antenna worked much better.

I had an old boombox radio and put it in my metal shed. Most people like their 'play list' of songs but I love listening to the radio or current news or the ballgame but in the metal shed .... nothing .... it sucks! So I ran this cord and adapted it to the radio with other fittings, off Amazon, and hooked it to the old boombox and stuck the magnetic antenna just outside the entrance of the metal shed and Wow! It pulled in the stations! When I'm leaving the shed, I just grab the antenna and stash it inside for the next time. It is not for being left permanently outside. I also have the same setup for the basement, but it doesn't pull in anymore stations, it just makes the current ones much better & clearer without static. I would probably get more stations if I could get it up higher than the basement window it's sitting next to. Oh well, that's a project for another day!

It’s just a basic antenna but works better than the clear T wire many manufacturers include with receivers. It’s also more attractive than those long T wires. It’s not amplified but still brings in stations better than the OEM antenna.I appreciate the extra adapter connectors to ensure it will support your tuner or receiver connections. The antenna itself has a small magnetic base that works a a stand on any flat surface. However when placing the antenna on the receiver which is usually has a metal case ensuring it stays where you want it.I have an amplified antenna on another receiver and it works about the same as this one, only without the power supply and adjustable controls on the amplified version. I think I prefer the simplicity and clean look of this antenna better.

The antenna itself may or may not pull in distant stations, I'm in a market where that doesn't apply. Multipath and interference are problems. The usual FM antenna solutions are difficult to move around for best reception for a given station. The Bingfu has a long cord and is easy to move around, and the magnetic bottom is useful. It is also far nicer visually than the usual alternatives. Though this may be the cheapest version of 'this' configuration, it seems well made and is functional.

The video shows the difference with and without the antenna attached. We have an office in University Hospital, Newark, NJ, a large designated regional trauma hospital built in the 1970s. Plumbing, concrete, steel beams, wiring, personal electronics, data transmissions all over the place all make simple over-the-air reception a fantasy. Forget about HD! This building is so bad that even its own WiFi, at least the guest channel, gets trampled. With cell towers all over the place, mobile service is still subject to the interference. With the antenna detached, basic FM reception is mediocre to poor. With the antenna attached, even the HD channels are consistently strong and clear. This one is well worth it.

This is a simple FM antenna with no amplifier. It works fine for pulling in the local stations but for anything with a weaker signal this simply did not cut it. It seems sturdy enough and the mag mount is convenient but it simply was not good enough for my needs. I will hold on to it as it was cheap enough to not be worth the hassle of returning.

One of my favorite FM stations had receptions problems, some days the signal would be fine, some days weak, some days just static, all I think depending on the weather. I had the antenna that came with the receiver hooked up, but was still having reception problems. The problem with the antenna that came with the receiver was that it was only 2' long and really flimsy piece of wire. I installed this antenna and now my reception is great, every day. What I think was good about this antenna is that the cord is long enough ( I think 10') that I was able to mount the antenna at the top of the built in bookcase that houses the receiver. And the wire is thin enough that I was able to chase it through some very tight openings in the bookcase. The connector is a screw on coax so you know you have a good tight connection, compared to the slip on connector that originally came with the receiver. The magnetic base does not seem very strong, but that did not matter since I was mounting it on a wood shelf in the bookcase, it came with a 3M sticky disc that holds it very secure and the design and color of the antenna make it very discreet, hardly even see it. What I really do not know is how much the antenna it self is contributing to the great reception or having been able to raise the antenna 8' higher in the air, I suspect both have helped. Anyways I was pleasantly surprised by it and thinking of buying another for another house. I have noticed that other low frequency channels that were not coming in clear are now very clear. I do not think this antenna has picked up any NEW stations, and I would not have expected this antenna to do that.

So I bought this antenna to get an FM feed to an old Yamaha tuner. So old in fact it didn't have the usual connections for today's input plugs. I ended up splicing a short piece of coaxial cable into the cable to connect the antenna to the tuner. I realize I could probably have used just the coaxial cable but I didn't really want a length of cable to contend with. The antenna sits on the CD player nice and firmly, its design means it is unobtrusive and the signal strength is excellent.
