About this item

  • GREAT VALUE. Replenish stamp foam ink pads, felt pads, or self-inking stamps. Not for pre-inked or gel stamps (see description).
  • NON-TOXIC. Water-based, low odor, skin-safe and environmentally friendly. Works on porous surfaces such as paper and wood. NOT work on wax, plastics, etc. without drying apparatus.
  • DURABLE AND PERMANENT. Waterproof after drying. Outdoor-grade weatherproof. Non-fading. Made of sturdy pigment polymer resin; it doesn't fade under direct sunlight.
  • CRISP AND CLEAR PRINT. Vibrant and intense color will not bleed or spread on paper, which make the print sharper
  • EASY APPLICATION. From bottle, put four to six drops of ink on a dried stamp pad. Do not over-ink the pad. Works with most stamps.

Carefully choose the ink you use when you refill your stamp. This BCH product is a water-based pigment formula, and it is for porous surfaces.
WATER-BASED vs OIL BASED. The selection of ink depends on the type of stamp. The self-inking stamp uses BCH water-based ink, and the pre-inked stamp uses BCH oil-based ink. Self-inking stamps either use a felt pad (not a gel pad) or have an inner refillable pad, while pre-ink stamps soak the stamp ink inside their rubber and release the ink with a simple press. Both stamps are refillable, but you need to select the correct type of ink. There are some pads that are rubber gel pads rather than felt pads, so these pads will need oil-based ink too.
PIGMENT vs DYE INK FORMULA. Dye ink is the classic scrapbooking ink. Dye ink is not waterproof and fades in sunlight. BCH Pigment ink is more vibrant in intensity is waterproof, does not bleed, and is UV proof after drying. It additionally has a much longer life than dye ink.
POROUS vs NON-POROUS SURFACE. Water and oil-based stamps work well with porous (paper, wood, popsicle sticks…) or semi-porous surfaces. Neither water-based or oil-based ink can be used with non-porous surfaces directly. Examples of non-porous surfaces include glass, glossy paper, vinyl, milk cartons, and ice cream lids. A solvent-based BCH stamp ink will be needed in the application to non-porous surfaces if you want to use it directly. However, a heating tool can be used to shorten drying time, so the water-based ink can be used on glossy surfaces.
BCH Stamp Ink Refill complies with standards and regulations like the REACH, SVHC, TSCA, IEC, California Proposition 65, CEA List, JGPSSI-Substance List. The stamp ink refill is suitable to mark food packaging according to USDA. FDA-Code of Federal Regulations 21. Section 175.105(a)(2). DO NOT USE THIS STAMP INK REFILL AS FOOD COLOR! Do not use on food directly. Do not drink or ingest.

tried this ink because it was half the price of the Shiny brand we usually get but it is definitely not permanent on fabric -- tried using a hair dryer, letting it dry overnight but it still smears

Very disappointing. One bottle arrived, and it was leaking ink. Then tested the ink and it did not live up to its claims. It did not dry quickly, it smeared and despite being on the skin for about an hour, it washed off immediately. Another sample wiped off easily using a baby wipe. Therefore, I would say that this ink is unsuitable for an event where you want some form of control over attendees.

The ink work fine, but the bottle is literally garbage. I the first bottle I purchased the neck split open at the base of the threads for the cap. I bought another bottle thinking it was just a bad bottle. The second bottle also split at the base of the threads for the cap. Both bottles broke after just 1 use. If you buy this ink purchase a better quality bottle to transfer the ink into or you will have ink leaking everywhere.

This ink falls short of being waterproof. Even after allowing it to fully dry on the paper, colour would be lifted by a bead of water on the stamped image in under a minute to stain the surrounding area, never mind painting over it with a water brush pen with just clean water. It is not a question of friction dislodging pigment particles and effecting mechanical erasure of the ink marks, the way Platinum Carbon Black ink is waterproof but can be smeared or partially rubbed off when marks made with it are re-wetted with water. If eight to twelve hours in (according to AccuWeather, both outdoor and indoor) humidity of under 50% still do not allow BCP Premium Stamp Ink to fully dry or cure on my mixed media paper of choice, then I'm not sure what it would take, or how long could count as a reasonable amount of time waiting.Suffices to say, this stamping ink is not fit for purpose in making stamped outlines for my fountain pen ink swatch cards, and thus leaves me sorely disappointed. I'm giving it two stars instead of just one because I still believe this ink can be used by somebody else to put down UV-resistant (another claim on the bottle label) stamps of "NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE; REJECTED" on a product's permanent record paperwork that they don't intend to paint over with water (or watercolour), whitewash or rub off.In contrast, I have no such problem with Spectrum Noir Finesse water-proof dye which, as far as I can tell from my testing, dries and sets in a matter of seconds.p.s. Amazon has promptly and courteously refunded my purchase of the bottle of BCH ink, as well as the new uninked stamping pad (of a different brand!) I bought at the same time which is now ruined by this unsatisfactory product. Thanks, and I'm sorry for the wasted shipping expense in getting this US product to me in Australia.

refill for Miseyo ID protection roller stamp, was recommended for this product. Big bottle so will last a long time. Much easier and faster than using a paper shredder, especially when hiding address info on junk mail, catalogs and such.

I needed this ink so badly for my return address stamper. It fit into the small holes perfectly. Life save. Now I don't have to buy a new stamper.
