The lock itself seems like it would slow someone from getting your bike. I couldn’t get the alarm to arm or unarm. Instructions say to turn the key 1/4 turn & hear a single beep and it’s armed. Turn another 1/4 turn & hear two beeps and it’s unarmed. I never heard any beeping, but set the alarm off several times & sometimes didn’t set it off.I can’t tell when the alarm is set or not.So I’m returning this & getting a different lock.

I use this for my neighborhood miles on a moped which gets stolen all the time I live in Hawaii and I have a Tahoe for my car so it cost me 40 bucks every time I just want to go down the street so my moped is three bucks I can ride around all around the neighborhood do what I need to do and guys still mopeds so quickly here and this thing is just great has a very loud and easy to set up alarm and it's super solid and says about it nobody's even touched the mopeds and stuff like that so really good bye it wasn't super expensive like some of those other type of bike locks and whatever just guys just get through over here is ridiculous you pay $200 for the chain and a lock and boom the guy's already know how to get through it this one not so easy and at the fact is it makes a really loud noise super sensitive love that just what you want for security on something like that

Instructions are vague, it took a bit to figure out how to remove key without resetting the alarm. IT IS NOT LOUD! But, a good heavy duty lock and cable, both clear plastic coated. I’ll keep it anyway.
