The Blazer Stingray butane torch is an anodized, refillable gas torch that creates a precise flame emitting from a nozzle head, allowing direct heat application to an object. It is used for detailed purposes such as brazing, plumbing, soldering, jewelry making, culinary, and dental and lab applications.

The Stingray has an anodized outer body finish, which increases thickness and strength to resist wear and corrosion. It features a gas flow adjustment lever, to control its blue flame length. It comes with an attachable, tabletop stand for hands-free work.

The torch houses a piezoelectric ignition system, which is based on a pressurized molecular reaction, and requires no electric connection. Piezoelectric energy occurs when the trigger is activated, releasing a small, spring-loaded internal hammer that strikes a crystal, producing a spark and resulting in gas flame ignition.

With a maximum flame temperature of 2,500 degrees F, the Stingray has a continuous burn time of approximately 1.5 to 2.0 hours, at maximum fuel volume, and has a 26-gram gas capacity. The torch head has a 90-degree fixed angle, and its flame range is 0.5 to 1.25 inches. It has a safety component that offers manual lock of the ignition, when not in use. It measures 6.0 (l) x 3.5 (w) x 1.33 (d) inches, and weighs 6.3 ounces. This product is intended strictly for use in professional and industrial environments. In accordance with federal regulations, home use of this product is prohibited.

Since 1985, Blazer Products has created an array of professional and industrial tools and equipment. Located in Farmingdale, NY, the company manufactures a variety of micro torches and ultrasonic cleaners. Blazer Products is known worldwide for its original micro torch products.

The Blazer Stingray torch operates with a standard butane canister (sold separately).

I use it for soldering and heat shrink tubing. It is perfect for that. Igniter works, adjustable flame, it does not use a lot of fuel and it is easy to refill.

I've owned it for a few years, and no issues, no leaks. Works really well!

I have used this torch before in a Jewellery class and have been hunting for one at a decent price. It's an awesome torch. Very easy to use and pretty precise flame. I make Titanium jewellery so this is a great tool to anodize the metal, I get much more intense colours than with the ones purchased in craft stores. It has a flame lock when one is doing prolonged torching, and I also love that when filling with butane, I can feel the holding chamber getting colder so know for sure it's filling. The only reason this has 4 stars and not 5 is because I paid for expedited shipping, however, there was a delay and when I inquired I was told there hasn't been guaranteed shipping by Canada Post since beginning of pandemic. If that's the case then it should not be an option now and even though it was only 3 dollars more, it's still paying for a service that isn't really available. That said, it arrived in regular shipping time.....which was a bit later than expedited, but earlier than the projected due to delay.Highly recommend this or any torch by Blazer.

I bought this for one reason - outdoor fire pit ignition. It's windy out there and the cheap pistol trigger grill lighters never work right even with the lightest breeze! Not this... the mother of all lighters. I don't even need lighter fluid most of the time... just turn on this blast furnace torch and hold it steady for 30 seconds. I burn brush and cardboard and this makes that sometimes frustrating lighting job fun! Strong metal construction... great design... good flexible flame length options.

I have an acetylene/air torch and needed something for smaller jewelry projects. This torch has been great. I have been it using for 6 months and it works every time. I had one other butane torch years ago which I had problems with and eventually threw out. I can recommend this torch for those who have a Big or Little Smith torch set up that need something for those easy to extra easy soldering jobs. Also recommend for beginners who are a little intimidated by a Big Torches or do not want to invest the money in a big set up. This torch is great for small to med small jobs. It is inexpensive, easy to use and gives you the confidence you need when soldering your first projects.

I used the Blazer GB4001 Stingray Butane torch to repair a brass abacus. It did an excellent job. Flame was adjustable. The stand allows hands free operation. I had tried a Home Hardware brand that almost broke your thumb trying to keep it lit and then it would go out. I returned this to the store and then I found the Blazer GB4001 on line. It had good reviews and I ordered it. Not disappointed and reasonably priced.

I wanted one of these for a long time...then upon impulse I finally ordered it and I am sure glad I did! This is a review that has been a long time coming. I've had this torch for 5-years now and it works just as well as the day it arrived from Amazon. I use it all over the place. It is fantastic in the kitchen but it also works in the garage. But perhaps it is best used at starting up the fire pit or BBQ (charcoal). It is also pretty fuel efficient. I still have the first can of fuel I bought for this thing 5-years ago and I use this torch ALL THE TIME!Pros:- Many, many uses.- It is just as good as the day I bought it.- Affordable especially when considering how many uses it has.- Perfect size. Not too big and not too small.Cons:- None even after 5-years of consistent use.

This thing worked great the first couple of times. Then all the trouble started, needed constant adjusting and more than one tear down. Finally after exactly one year, I'm done. This thing is in the trash where it belongs. Not worth my time to constantly adjust the electrodes on the striking mechanism and re adjust the fueling, I expect this from the cheap no name brand but not blazer. Maybe i should just buy the cheap ones and replace them every year since this doesn't last any longer.

This is everything the Blazer GB2001 should have been and a little cheaper. I recently bought the GB2001 but quickly realized it was not very good. Several people said the 4001 was better and they were right. Both 2001 and 4001 are roughly the same size, shape, and weight. The 4001 has a smooth plastic diamond textured body white the 2001 has a rubber knurled texture to it. They both have the same push to ignite button but the 4001 has a safety lock that slides up and down just above the ignition button, this locks both the ignition button and gas valve.4001 has better flame control, it has a nice solid feedback so you can easily slide it a little or a lot to get the right sized flame. The torch can be operated one handed. The 2001 does have a slightly larger flame when fully opened but i'd rather have the 4001 any day.One star knocked off because when trying to fill this unit it leaks. Maybe its the butane can's tip that doesn't seal around the fill nipple (currently using Ronson Multi-Fill) I have some other butane devices that leak while others don't when filling but I'm not going to look for or buy special butane cans for each one

I'm very pleased with my purchase of this torch. The size is perfect for holding in my large hands and it is easy to direct the tip wherever I need it. It also feels like it is made from quality materials and is well built. It is extremely easy to ignite with the built-in piezoelectric spark. The large fuel tank means you don't need to fill it very often. The quality of the flame is perfect. I will be interested to see how this unit performs after a few months of use. If needed, I will update my review if the performance changes over time, but for now, I am extremely happy with this torch!

This torch works just fine. I was looking for a small torch to use primarily for electrical repairs on cars. It is well made, sturdy, comfortable to hold and use with one hand. I'm left handed, so opening the regulator lever on top with my thumb takes a little coordination, but isn't difficult. It can be unlocked, turned on, lit, extinguished, and locked all with one hand. I really like the lock feature so that it doesn't accidentally turn on and waste all the fuel. I also like the base stand so that you can easily set it down without worry of it falling over and melting something. The fuel tank is fairly large. I have only filled it once when I bought it a month or two ago. Overall, I am very satisfied with this torch. It is well worth the money. I have used an almost identical torch which cost about twice as much as this one.
