It has 390 lumen but LUX (area lighted) is lower than other brands (ELOP) which have better LUX despite having 300 lumens.

I have purchased 6 of these now. I've used the light multiple times in the dark going 20+ mph and the light is bright enough to spot and avoid potholes. The straps stretch and easily attach to any size bar/post and is then easily adjustable (the mount for the tail light can be mounted vertically or horizontally since the taillight mount is square.) I bought one of these sets initially, and compared to a more expensive Blitzu set of lights I had been using. I was impressed with how long these lasted, and how bright they were. Also liked 3 brightness levels of solid on for the front, and the blinking option. Also, solid and blinking options in three brightnesses for the back (though not intuitive on how to switch between blinking and solid, this was a recent discovery). I bought 2 more sets, so I could have mounts for my 3 bikes, but also so I could carry a spare charged light with me when one is getting low. Small, bright, rechargeable, long-lasting, AND inexpensive? seems too good to be true, but it is so easy now that I ride with blinking lights even in the daytime just for added safety. I also just recently purchased 3 more for my kids bikes. Easy and inexpensive enough for my kids, but nice enough for me ;-) . I did have one taillight that died somehow after about 4 years, but the others are going strong.

I purchased a month or so ago this bike light combo and I could not be happier. Accidentally, I purchased two of them and intended to send one back. However, since I like it so much I will keep them both. The headlight is small, yet powerful, and seems to last many hours (I commute to work about 1 hr daily, and charge lights during the weekend, never had a problem). The front light has three intensity settings and one blinking mode, which uses the highest intensity of the light and seems to be visible several blocks ahead (based on the street signs reflecting back). The rear light is small, light and versatile and also works many hours. I use often the Blitzu rear light at night and is very visible, no problems. For daylight rear lighting, however, I use either a Cateye X2 (or X3) or a Cygolite Hotshot 100 which are stronger and thus more visible. Both Blitzu lights are USB rechargeable, which is a big plus. Both lights are easy to put on and take off the bike, there are elastic bands used for installation. I even purchased extra rubber bands to have some spares, in case I need. I highly recommend themAlso, some quick extra info on my experience with the various bike lights I own, including Blitzu, INTEY, Cygolite and Cateye.I have several bikes and several headlights (and taillights)I did a few day and night tests, to check how visible my bike lights are from a moving car. One important observation: there is no need, in my opinion, of a bike light brighter than 1000-1200 lumens. On high, such a light can bother the oncoming traffic. To give you an example: in the past, while I was using more regularly an older 1000 lumen flashlight in strobe mode on the bike, there were on several occasions cars bringing to my attention that my light was bothering them. Currently, I like using an INTEY 1000 light, on pulse mode (not flashing/strobe), which I find perfect for night riding (not blinding yet very visible) and works during the day also, if you want to. However, for daylighting I prefer stronger pulse-lights. To do this, I have three options: either use the INTEY in strobe-mode, which is VERY bright. Or, I also have a Cygolite Metro Pro 1100 and a Cygolite Dash 600. Both of them are very good for daylighting when using the main LED. My Cateye Volt 1200 in flashing mode is also great for daylight. However, at night, all these stronger lights I think will bother the traffic too much. Therefore, I prefer to combine the INTEY steady/pulse light with flashing from a second bike headlight. For this, I either use the flashing 4 LEDs of the Dash 600 or I use the flashing mode of this BLITZU Gator 390 light. This combination works very well for me. Both of these flashing lights attract attention, yet are not blinding. I think a combination of TWO Blitzu headlights, on set on constant and the other flashing would do the same job. Certainly, when I ride in heavy traffic (particularly during daytime), I prefer the more rapid flashing mode of stronger lights, such as the Volt 1200, or Metro Pro 1100 or the strobe mode of the INTEY 1000. They are all VERY visible and keep me safe.

I bought this as a replacement for the headlight i had before that was taken when my bike was stolen recently. Didnt have the bike secured well, my fault. The light I had before was good but had some issues that I wanted to avoid in my new light and this light does nicely. Its probably closer to the advertized lumens than most of the lower priced lights on Amazon. Its definitely bright enough to see by in all lighting conditions in which you need a light. Its definitely bright enough to be seen by. Its fairly smartly designed as to the modes. Im not crazy about one button controls but thats the trend in the industry so there not much to be done about that. It has four modes, high, medium, low, and strobe. The strobe isnt obnoxious but it does get attention. Its much smaller than I expected and surprising that its so bright and has such a good light cone at this size. Its small and light and easy to toss in a pocket or bag when locking up. The mount really holds the lights well and I would reccomend removing the entire mount rather than just the light. The clip that holds the light seems to be sturdy but it is plastic and it will wear out with frequent on and off cycles. The rubber bands seem to be much more durable. I havent had the lights long enough to comment on the batrery life, but with this light I dont think its very vital for most people. The headlight's charging port is mirco usb and it comes with a charging cable that seems like a decent cable. The port is dead center on the rear of the light and is accessible in most cases while the is mounted. The light will will operate while charging so its possible that you could use a small lipstick style external battery to power the light while underway. So for very little weight and in some cases no added weight at all someone can triple or quadruple their run time. The taillight can be charged while mounted, but you might want a right angle usb cable because the clearance is prettt tight. It would be a good idea to move the charging port to the edge of the taillight rather than the back panel in future models. The mount for the headlight is prettt neat, It cants from side to side and does so with a variable level of tension. The set screw that varies this tension is located in the clip that holds the light. This allows the light to be tilted to a certain degree left or right to get the beam right where you want it or to avoid cable shadows. The mount makes the light a bit tall, so if you have clearance issues on your handlebar such as a crossbar, you will have to mount it underslung or use an extender to get clearance but it will work. The rubberbands have multiple stops for fitting tubes of different diameters or varrying the tightness that it has. The mounts have a grippy foam pad or pads that keep the light from slipping even under heavy vibration. As good as the headlight is, the star of the show here is the taillight, it is impressively bright for its size. Its really an attention getter, probably at the edge of what is too bright but it definitelt gets the job done. If it seems like its too bright the mount will swivel up and down to adjust the angle and keep you visible without blinding other as well as allowing it to adjust to slack or agressively angled tubes or seat posts. It has six modes hi medium and low in steady blink. You click through the modes, doubled click to select steady or blink and click and hold to turn off. Double clicking while off will change modes when you turn it back on. It remebers the mode but not the brightness. The blink mode on the brightest setting is fast enough to be obnoxious in my opinion but the other modes are not too bad. Its attention getting in any mode. It has like the headlight, a few stops or notches to adjust tension or grip tubes of different diameters. Seems like it could mount to the vent holes in a helmet and its light enough that it wouldnt weigh it down. It could fit hiking sticks of modest diameter for use as a signalling aid or night hiking to mark a campsite or keeping party members visible on a trail. There are a few improvements that could be made though. The lights could be a little smarter, the switching could have memory or selectable modes. No one really needs to go from steady to blink so badly that it should be in the switch cycle all the time. Its more likely that someone needs to go from on to off or from off to bright RIGHT NOW. A mode that allows immediate bright and off would be great. It would be nice for it to remeber the last setting and go back to it when turned on. The taillight is pretty much universal. Its gonna work on the highway in a touring group, on the street commuting in lowlight or darkness and its gonna work on the trail to let the rider behind you know where you are. The headlight is good for most conditions, but its probably not bright enough for really dark and difficult trail or single track. Both lights are pretty versatile being adaptable to many uses other than biking. I used to not like the idea of lights with rechargable onboard batteries because once they are dead, they are dead until you can plug them into a wall. These lights have changed my mind because with just a small backup battery and the included usb cables you can have at least a couple LONG nights of riding or still have light even if you forget to charge at home. If you are riding certain ebikes, you can never have to charge your light effectively, because many ebikes have usb outputs either on the display and or battery. If you are looking for a really good light that wont break the bank, this set is for you.I bought one for me and one for a friend who needed a light for his ebike that was better than the stock light. He didnt realize how little he could see with the old light until he installed this. Make sure you are careful with how you angle the light if you ride in traffic or on paths with pedestrians or other cyclists, it is a bright enough spot to really diminish other peoples vision if it hits them straight on. For the price its hard to find better light.
