If you have one of the newer AR or 9mm carbine, they have multiple places to use these. I have some less expensive brands, but these fit tight and are heavier made. The sling ring is heavier, the barrel is heavier and ball bearings look heavier. When I got these I removed my cheaper brands and put these in. If you have a good AR, use these, if you don’t care then use the other ones.

Excellent product. Works great and very sturdy. You can talk as soon as you take it out of the package that is is way better quality than most sling swivels. I just assumed at the price point there would be two in a package; however, there is only one, so I ordered another on. Great product

I love the standard 1.25 version of these they are bigger beefier and heavy duty but for my edgar sherman ESD sling i wanted 1 inch swivels.. these are still built like a tank but compared to the larger size the head is a much smaller diameter and the button it half the size of a pencil eraser... compared to magpul(see picture) or the full size blue force its tiny. I have zero doubt in build quality and know they'll last me a lifetime just wish the buttons were a bit easier to press by finger
