This little Bluetooth receiver is pretty simple and straightforward. I never tried the microphone nor did I try a phone call. I tried to connect headphones directly to it and it is not strong enough to drive headphones so it's more like line level high impedance output. When I connected headphones there was no Bass but when I hook it up to an amplifier it sounded just fine. It also has a built-in battery which is nice.
