Haven't tried to anchor with it but 50 yrs boating doesn't seem like it could not much weight or surface area

This little anchor packs a punch! Weighs only 5 lbs or so, easy to pack on kayak or float tube fishing.I used this on a float tube on a lake with windy conditions and had another float tube buddy connected to me. It held both of us in place as all other motorboat drifted, asking us what the heck anchor we had. This one!It was not too difficult to pull once we were ready to leave; have to get to the far/counter side and pull there.So easy to pack up, durable metal anchor and should last long.

This is a very heavy, and high quality anchor. It will ensure you will remain steady on your kayak or boat, this is important especially if you catch big fish like Carp & catfish you require all the steadiness possible.
