I really wanted one of those sporty flat bottomed wheels with the color matched accents. I had one in my cart for weeks. Well when it came time to order, out of stock. Then the only steering system I could find in stock that could be delivered on time was this one. I thought, its too yachtie. Its metal, its chrome yayaya. Anyway, I LOVE this wheel. I thought maybe I could change the wheel later but fell in love with it once it was installed. Keep in mind this doesn't have the convenient click lock like the one I took out, it uses bolts to retain the steering cable and they were a bit of a bugger to get a wrench on. Highly recommend this system. Just order it!

I installed this on a 1996 Forester 20’ pontoon boat with a 90hp mercury motor. Everything works smoothly. YouTube was a great help!

Steering is very tight & eventually locked up / warped gear box & stripped the screw holding the cable in place. Will be replacing with a new system after
