I've got 4 of these on my ATV trailer and 4 on my boat trailer, two for the transom and 2 for the cover. The bottom line is the are awesome until they fail. It's a tough pill to swallow to have to buy a whole new buckle because you can't replace the strap when the rest of the buckle is fine. I've been using them for 15 years and you will have straps fray, ratchets fail, springs break. I've had to replace at least 4 of the 8 that I have.Oh a whim I decided to email Boatbuckle and ask if I could get a replacement spring for one of my buckles that the spring had snapped in half on and they responded the next day and sent me one out. While I had a captive audience I asked them about replacement straps wondering if maybe they could do it for you and they verified that their straps are not replaceable.

I wish the mounting brackets would come with the tie downs and not have to pay extra for them
