I started to notice my truck getting musty after it rained. After a brief internet search, I found the likely culprit to be these vents or the third brake light. Seeing as the headliner appeared dry, I decided to order these vents. Removing the back seats was the hardest part but still only took about 40 minutes total. The new vents fit right in and did the trick!!

I installed these and tested them. The flaps kept water out but water came in the two slots at the top on each one. I had to caulk all the way around to stop the water. Cheaply made, and Dodge should be ashamed for this design and owners having to replace these at their cost.

Its slimmer then original and because of it water still leaks in, i wanted to return but i didnt do it on time. Its better to go with an oem. I would buy if you are in a rush to find a replacement part but you would have to modify it alot.

These were an exact fit and very easy to install in my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 once the backseat was removedThey have kept the water out, and appear to be a slightly better design than the originals, although the flaps are extremely Thin rubber and did not lay truly flat - Daylight was still visible, which led me to water concernsI actually took one of the flaps off and used it as a template, I cut individual pieces of shower pan liner and duplicated the rubber flaps, then installed the new heavier, shower pan liner flaps over the lighter flaps, no more daylight and probably more durable and better water protection,They still lift and vent air just fine when you close the doorsI am very pleased with the final installation, especially with this modification, and if you have the patience, would recommend doing the same

the rubber seals didn’t fully engage to seal edge and flaps didn’t completely cover vent holes so basically a wide open hole on the back of your vehicle.

replaces factory part very nicely. solved mystery leak i've had for 2 years. May still have a minor drip, thinking of running some rtv on the inside seal.
