The pillows are so small the kids heads kept coming off the pillow after the first they didn’t want them and we had to get standard pillows for them. I don’t recommend the kids pillow you should purchase the adult pillows. I wasted my money.

On a positive note, the outer material of this pillow appears to be made of a quality, smooth and comfortable material. It is, on the front side, very comfortable to the touch and feels good against my skin. It is very lightweight, and with the air removed, it can be folded up very compactly, which is very beneficial for travel purposes. On a negative note, I think some improvement is needed with the inflation valve. The little instruction card that provided notes to “make sure align“. Looking at the diagram, I presume it means the little line in the center of the valve needs to be a straight vertical axis as opposed to diagonal. However, either way, the air comes rushing out the moment that I stop blowing. So, as a result, I have to act quick and physically push the valve cover down very quickly after I stop blowing. Not only is this awkward and inconvenient, but I find it impossible for a significant amount of air to not escape. As a result, I have yet been able to figure out how to fully inflate the pillow. Also, right out of the bag, there is a long loose thread dangling from the fabric. I always find that a little bit annoying with brand new products. All in all, still, even though it is not fullyr inflated, I will say that it has held the air extremely well. For over two days, it does not look, as if any air escaped. If the valve for inflation could be improved, and, they could make it easier to remove the outer cover for washing purposes, this would be easily a five star product. Currently, with the pluses and minuses that it has, it is only a three star product at this time in my opinion.

I am a grown man in my forties and I am not too proud to rock this pillow while traveling, camping, hunting or overnight trekking/fishing! I also make content periodically and I almost can't wait to see the comments about my Space Dino Pillow "in the background" of my videos! I think this is actually super cool looking and really....what guy doesn't like SPACE DINOS no matter what their age is??? The actual pillow is aimed at kids and I guess I'm just a big ole kid at heart. However, I do see kids having issues packing this one back up in its attached stuff sack because it was a little bit of a wrestling match for me as an adult to get it done and I deal with camp gear and stuff sacks routinely. I do wish the sack was a little larger to make reentry easier but that is my only nitpick with this pillow.The pillow itself has great, vibrant colors, inflates and deflates easily and has a layer of thin foam between the SPACE DINO fabric and the air holding material that makes the pillow work. This little detail actually makes the pillow feel more like a standard home pillow rather than an air pillow, especially if you blow it full and then just squeak out a little bit of air at a time until it feels "right." Due to the design, the lightweight, the small packability and the comfort I feel the $20 price at the time of this review is worth it...plus you get SPACE DINOS! Who doesn't want to have small talk about or think about SPACE DINOS right before falling asleep in the woods?!Humor aside, I genuinely like the pillow, it's comfy the way a normal air pillow isn't. However, you can't take the foam or the SPACE DINO cover off for washing so that is one downside to this design. You'll have to hand wash it if it becomes soiled. Small price to pay for having comfort while "roughing it" coupled with, SPACE DINOS. If you have kids or a "big kid" with a sense of humor still then this is a recommendation.

Although this product is specifically labeled as a "boys" inflatable camping pillow, it did not unlock any uniquely boy powers upon use, so I've decided that validates my hypothesis that space dinos are indeed for girls. I have used this pillow and retain all of my girl magic, further confirming this hypothesis. The science has spoken - space dinos are for girls. Period.As for the "boy pillow" it was quite easy to inflate. The pillow only takes 3-4 adult breaths to inflate. The valve can twist letting air in and out, but it's a little unclear which direction the valve should be when inflating because the two colors of gray are almost imperceptible and this could be hard for people with low vision to be able to see.The pillow is easy to deflate by just pushing the spring loaded valve and packs back into the attached stuff bag. Overall a nice product that I look forward to using while camping!
